SB was at the top of the numberless heap
he was so high that he ascended further
now we look to him for guidance
reveal to us, oh ascended one
enlighten us!
bring us to the object of our holy quest:
the top of the numberless heap!

Number Rumba

Numbers
There once were numbers
Counting all the people
In a silly order
Now we do long for
Those lovely numbers
We want to have them
To count the members
Those crazy numbers
Do you remember?
We used to count them
All together
And now that we have lost those them all
We're counting in the dark
For I will spent my time here
Counting in my heart

astrael - as far as i know, that's exactly how it worked before - there was no significance to the numbers at all.
But the numbers were in order, they needed to be all jumbled!

I really like Majestic's songs so this one is for him,
hopefully it's ok:

on top of the heap
I'm at the top
king of the heap
it's lonely up here
one friend beside me
on top of the heap
so used to two
one above and below
on top of the heap
there is one below
the king of the heap
has no one above
it's lonely up here
on top of the heap
the little people sit
up above me
there is a list below
the numbers are gone
but the heap remains
it's lonely up here
on top of the heap!

Has anyone here ever read "Hope for the Butterflies"?? (NO, this is not off topic) If not, go check it out and read it.

I know what your game is.

you are trying to get us all in the library, so you can become the top o' the heap.

very crafty, doodle.

Whatever are you talking about? I am aghast at the insinuation. I haven't the slightest inclination to even be a on the heap! let alone on the top!-Bland

hermit, excellent song!

here's a song I wrote about your song

Hermit wrote a song called the Top of the Heap
I must admit I found it really neat
But now it makes me long even more
For those precious numbers that I do adore

Give me numbers
Count'em baby
One two three
Welcome to the Online Now catastrophe
Give me numbers
Count'em baby
One two three
Welcome to the Online Now anarchy!

Hermit said to me he liked my song
I wrote it about the numbers I do love
And singing this tune I can't help but ache
Thinking about the numbers keeps me awake

Give me numbers
Count'em baby
One two three
Welcome to the Online Now catastrophe
Give me numbers
Count'em baby
One two three
Welcome to the Online Now anarchy!

The list is still in a random order, you could always count how near the top you are. *virtual hugs*
