They're huge companies that own massive chunks of cities. I would consider them an extreme example yes.

Taking your question out of context - apparently when prisons are full, thieves, even prolific thieves can get away with their theft or thefts.

It seems like you're hoping for a gotcha and I'd prefer to leave you frustrated.

But also, your questions give insight into your perspectives. Mirroring them and asking them back to you is far more productive, as far as I'm concerned.

There's all sorts of thefts that are ignored, sometimes because they're legal, sometimes because the entity that committed them is a person but not a real person, sometimes because they're trivial and sometimes because of a lack of evidence.

But you're right that how we prioritize crimes can lead to some criminals receiving little to no punishment while others who inflicted far less social harm receive much greater punishment.

Sounds like you're avoiding giving any insight into your perspective to me. You mention that only houses not being used in any capacity should be taken by the state and then contradict yourself with houses being let taken by the state as long as they're owned by a large company.....what gives?

There's a black and white line for many but also plenty of grey areas for others.
