I've never read Slice of Life books before.

I don't even know what those books are.

Azumanga Daioh
Lucky Star
Ichigo Mashimaro
My Deer Friend Nokotan

Usually the boke characters get my attention.

I haven't seen a slice of life show with one, at least not yet.

I should try watching A Slice of Life. What channel is it on?

If we can't get a purple monkey dishwasher, how about 75 golden camels? Or 53 purple peacocks?

It's a genre, not a single show.

Seinfeld would be a good example of an American, live action slice-of-life show. I've heard King of the Hill described as slice-of-life too.

A lot of slice-of-life anime is adapted from 4-panel comics like Lucky Star and Azumanga Daioh.

Here's a playlist of Azumanga Daioh dubbed into English:

Here's the same show with English subtitles instead:

Basically it's just shows about people living regular lives.

I guess The Simpsons would be an example of a Slice of Life show. The Facts of Life would also be another such example.

I think the Simpsons is often too zany to count, The Facts of Life probably comes closer but might still be too structured. Sitcoms tend to be intentionally constructed around delivering jokes (and have more room for zany premises to allow for comedy based on that premise) slice-of-life is more down to earth and mundane.

Putting Canada and Germany against each other in hockey. That's not very nice. I won't know who to cheer for.

I support shaming people who use AI and I most certainly support shaming people who use AI for this.

The advertising from games for AI girlfriends has drifted over the year.
Like from "your companion available 24/7"
To "your toy and fetish slave"
Even the advertising aimed at girls emphasises dominant/submissive options.

I don't want to see the cultural toxicity that will inevitably result.

Like many fellow fans of Spider-Man, I had high hopes that Spider-Noir would have been an animated movie and not a live-action streaming mini-series.
