I mentioned a bad movie that was a fun movie, Blond Fury [1994], to my bride and she drew a blank.

So last night we watched Blond Fury, again. It's still very bad and very fun.

P.S. It is BLOND Fury, not to be confused with BLIND Fury.

And it is Blond Fury [1994], not to be confused with Blonde Fury [1989], aka Lady Reporter.

LOL. It's good you cleared that up.
I'm familiar with Lady Reporter: The Blonde Fury. It has Cynthia Rothrock in it.

After a bit of searching, and then a bit more, and a bit more, I finally found a description of Blond Fury.

The Movie Database wrote:
Overview
Two trashy New Jersey housewives take to the road. When they think their husbands have been kidnapped, they arm themselves and set off in hot pursuit. They soon fall in love

My mind reads that description in the voice of Harry Shearer doing the voice for a movie trailer on The Simpsons.

Blond Fury

That's the correct Blond Fury. This Blond Fury is about 45 minutes long and is way below a B-movie. But they know it and have fun with it. The trashy housewives talk with exaggerated accents. All of the acting in the movie is exaggerated. The whole story is trashy.

As near as I can tell it was only released as an extra on the Rockabilly Vampire [1996] DVD.

Thanks. I should look for Rockabilly Vampire.

Earth Girls are Easy (1988)
Campy and fun and Jim Carrey. It looks so terrible in the trailer, but don't be fooled. Should be a cult classic, honestly.

Learning spanish so I saw "radical" about a mexican teacher who tries a self-empowering teaching method which is quite successful.

based on a true story I think.

The Marvels.

MCU chick movie, where Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and the daughter of Captain Marvel's friend (who has since died - in that particular universe) save the Skrulls, a planet where people sing and dance in order to communicate, and of course, the earth, from the Kree.
The post credit scene is worth watching the movie all the way through.

The Bridge Curse (2020) on Netflix

A film made in Taiwan. It has a nice color palette. Just what you want to hear about a horror film, right. In in other words, the images are nice. Subdued and gloomy. Sound is important too. There is a fair share of startle-sounds, but the quality of the sound is nicely done, as nice as the color of the images. There is a LOT of screaming, overlaid with more screaming or music, like pulsating percussion. The makeup is very nice. There is a sense of subtle decay. The acting is good. One might think how difficult is it to scream. I would point to Tara Reid in Snarknado 2. Over all, it reminded me of Ringu, which is also about a curse.

It is told partially in a documentary style. There is a woman doing a news story, and there are student documenting their scary prank on the "new guy."

The movie ends with two credits scenes. One suggests a sequel, and it appears a sequel was scheduled for release in November, 2023.

I just found out that The Primer (2004) is on Youtube for free. I think I mentioned watching that maybe a year or so ago, interesting movie albeit tough to keep tabs on.

Continuing my creature-spotting I continued on to:

Creature from the Haunted Sea [1961]
<=>"What was the unspeakable secret of the sea?"

One of the characters narrates the film. My favorite line:

"It was dusk. I could tell because the sun was going down."

Ghost Walk (2018) on Tubi TV

IMDB Description wrote:
Hye-jung works in a factory on the outskirts of the city. All she wants is to live alone in peace. One night, however, she finds she has become a ghost. As a ghost, she goes back in time, day by day, and tries to keep out of harm's way.

I would say she walks back in time to understand what has happened, and she meets a little girl who appears to be the only person that can hear her. Meanwhile, we learn the little girl's dad has been stabbed to death. It's an interesting story.

Fear Chamber.

A disgraced doctor, who had been trying to eradicate phobias from the human mind, discovers too late that human fear has manifested itself as a sinister entity bent on reversing his work he's done on his patients who had survived a mass shooting.
Much recommended horror film.

Tank Girl (1995)
I'm a sucker for cult classics and I've gotta say this is one severely underrated! I can't wait to find some of the comics it was based on. :)

Last night I continued creature-spotting. When my bride heard the title of the next movie I was going to watch she inexplicably decided to join me so last night we watched:

Creature from the Hillbilly Lagoon [2005]
<=>"It'll get under your skin..."

Also inexplicably, she enjoyed the movie!! :o

Her assessment was: "It was pretty good for a pretty bad movie!" :duh:

^ My sister & I used to love watching those kind of films! :) My brother would get hold of film reels for his movie projector & play them to get our minds off of family loss.

Tonight watched “The Holdovers”. So good! A true charmer! Under the talented direction of Alexander Payne, we see a warm yet melancholic drama, whose devotion to creating that “1970s feel”, brings it to its audience in consummate style! You genuinely are left thinking, “they just don’t make em like they used to” … with this film being a genuine exception, from the vintage indents right down to the overall aesthetic. They did a wonderful job of creating that 1970s feel! Fortunately it snowed when filming took place, putting a halt to the need for snow machines.

With his first time acting outside of College, the main young male actor, Dominic Sessa gave an emotionally rich performance, as did all three main characters.

A VERY good watch! Highly recommended.

Synopsis: A misanthropic history teacher and an unruly student find themselves locked alone together in a New England boarding school over Christmas vacation.

Butch Cassidy And The Wild Bunch.

Supposedly a biopic of outlaw leader, Butch Cassidy, and the gang he rode with. If any factual material surfaced in this movie, it would have been entirely by accident. I couldn't even finish it.
