I can't say I've seen any religious figures on people's lawns here. No symbols or anything either. I think most people here would regard it as tacky, if not outright embarrassing.

I really hate that! What a waste of a perfectly good claw-foot tub!! I also hate many of the bumberstickers and Bible verse signs in people's yard. "Tacky" is the right word.
I think that people can find better ways to express their faith than these silly displays; like live it!

Ok I'll start off with what I know(which isn't much)
Iknow I am alive and I am aware of that though my ability to think, reason, emote and desire. I know that there is alot more going on in this universe than we can understand right now with even our most advanced science, thought idea's like physics and quantum mechanics are driving us in the right direction.
That's what I know beyond that all I have are idea's

I don't see God as anthromorphic I se God as a grand creative loving energy. A collection of everyting that IS. That energy that created us also sustains and connects us. Jung called it the collective unconscious we are all somehow connected to each other this explains things such as empathy and it very well might explain other seemingly paranormal idea's such as psychic intuition. I believe that the world we live in is an illusion which we continue to create on an everyday basis. I think we sometimes get lost in the trappings of said illusion and it's easy to do cause it seems so REAL. The dream, or illusion we created for our advancement and our enjoyment. It will pass someday as wil we all at which point I think we will all realize that we are indeed eternal in nature and there are many things left for us to explore and enjoy. I think we can come back to the illusion as much as we want(reincarnation) I think we can also evolve spiritual as we did physically. Heaven and hell are states of being which we can sometimes carry over with us from this plane There is no judgement nor condemantion only love. Love is truth the only thing that ISN'T illusion :)
Love IS
I can't proove any of this
Mike

Sure that's well and good but what do you really feel? You can be scientific and come up with these excuses but what do you really feel about God and about your path of your life that you're currently on? Do you think that when you die you'll end up just as a part of the ground with all your hopes and dreams gone just like that? Or do you think that you'll go to Heaven or Hell? Does your life feel full of hope? Or do you feel hopeless and if you already mentioned this well I'm sorry but I just wanted you to really think. Take care.

Well I am not coming up with excuses these are my real thoughts they are fluid not concrete I consider myself to be an open minded spirituality aware skeptic. I believe there is somethingmore than "this" the matirial world that we live and dwell in. Do I know this? no. How do I feel? Though I realize that my feelings are inconsequential to whatever is really going on there is a sense of peace and purpose in being able to understand that we are all a part of something bigger than us all. When I die my bosy will become a part of the ground but there is a strong possibility that my essance, my spirit my consciousness will continue.I believe that I'll be attracted to go where spirit can allow me to understand it's love for me and for all of everything. I believe one of the main reasons why I am here is to understand love both recieving and most of all sharing. I believe that I am to learn all different aspects of love even the negative sides of it which I have. Also I thought it would be interesting to note that I don't think it is sciences role to proove or disproove anything science's job is to gather data. I think data speaks for itself but you can read into the data whatever you wish.

I don't really care about data. Numbers and other excuses don't faze me at all. One way or another people will have to chose. The choice is up to them not us.

Why do you think this is a game? It's not a rigging and it's not rigged at all.

A Sceintific Pantheist fits the picture for me. Albeit it is more of a philosophy than a religion.

Here we go...

I am Lutheran. (Christian)
I believe that I am saved. (Through the waters of Baptism... I really don't think anyone cares)
My beleifs differ from other Christians greatly. I do not beleive in hell. It just does not make any sense. I beleive strongly in free will, but I also beleive there is a dichotomy of fate and freewill. It is very confusing. I am also a Theistic Evolutionist. (I beleive in God guided evolution.) I am going to get alot of crap for my beleifs in the future.

That seems all for now...
