That doesn't look like the same song. The one I mean is by some bloke called Father Abraham. The first verse starts with the words "where are you all coming from?" and the chorus goes "la la lalalala la la la la." It's almost as bad as the "bum tiddle tiddle" song, only not so funny:

(Had to just post the URL because playback on WP and other websites has been disabled by the video owner who is obviously a spoilsport)

I don't remember that one.
I'm Blue was on the radio every single day on the bus to school for quite awhile.

Compulsory radio on the school bus, how oppressive.

Here's the abomination I had in mind:

It seems they made so much money out of it that they made 2 follow-up records, so maybe you heard one of those. They probably thought Americans were too intelligent to like the first one.

I think this is The Smurfs most famous song.

That can't be them, it has a certain artistic merit.

The more I read about The Smurfs, the worse it gets. Apparently Father Abraham had not 3 but 5 UK hits, and made an enormous amount of money. The Left struck back with a few parodies, but they didn't make as much. Rightly did Karl Marx call the British nonrevolutionary. I just call them suckers.

Something's changed. Instead of showing nothing at all when somebody posts a YT video, it now shows the video, and doesn't auto-play. I don't want it to auto-play because that sends my CPU through the roof, and they all play at once on threads where people post a lot of videos, which sounds horrible, and anyway Google would know those videos had played in my browser and I like to keep Google in the dark for obvious reasons. So I always copy the link code and play it through Invidous, when it works and when I can be bothered.

Anyway at least now I can immediately see the titles of the videos people are posting. Until something changes again, which I expect it will. It's a hard life fighting Google.

All kidding aside, I do too.

I don't know their catalogue well, but I like what I've heard even if it's quite different from my primary musical interest.

Yesterday, I won an expensive keyboard :D

I like winning cosmetics, every time I go to see my psychologist, I share those with her.
