I suppose so, if you’ve nothing better to do for the next 4 hours or so? It depends on context, and what you propose would be perfectly reasonable for an evening down the pub, but drinking alone (which I never did when I was younger) I’d be guided more by whether I can get off to sleep or not.

I figured out how to get FedEx to deliver wine to my dry county. I mostly did it for a hoot since they claimed to ship anywhere. The first box of six various wines was a bargain for $ 44 but after that the price goes up to slightly over an $100s and I can’t really afford that.So I will cancel my wine club membership.
Anyway it was a good muscadine year and I have five gallons fermenting.

Move to France (or Spain, Italy...): 44$ here would get you 7 bottles of Ernest Preis Gewurztraminer, a seriously good wine!

For once, my taste is cheap :D

Have had some slightly more expensive wines recommended by others but not for me.
Champagne ends up as cooking liquor over here... really don't like it

Contrary to what one may believe, the French are more inclined to go with the hype rather than actual drinking pleasure, hence (relatively) cheap "champagnes" that are less enjoyable than competing cremants, Tavel Rosé that is reminiscent of vinegar, and Beaujolais which is even less palatable. If you are prepared to pay considerably more, you may find some that merit the acclaim, but it’s a hard slog!

Can you even get beer that weak

You certainly can from the factory surplus shops around here, many of which have no alcohol at all (French law requires only that they translate the labels, even if they tell porkies). Same with liquor like the (rather nice) Negrita rum I once bought, a litre of which I downed in one session, and still needed a couple of large glasses of “real” scotch to get me off to sleep!

It’s not all bad; the Ballast Point beer I mentioned elsewhere is good value even if it is short on alcohol (which I’m currently denied in any case…).

Sounds tasty. At least I have the muscadine, all it cost was labor and sugar. It’s still in the carboy waiting to be ready for bottling.

Sailor Jerry and hot cider. Great winter drink except it’s not cold outside.

I've dug the Baileys out from the back of the cupboard.

This was the second alcoholic drink I ever tried, the first being Guinness (as is meet and proper). I thought it was the best thing ever and used to beg for it on holidays. It's too sweet for me in most moods these days.

I can drink a lot of this or of whiskey but wine makes me really tipsy.
