Before I post anything, I use the "preview" button and go through the captcha thingy. If it doesn't take, I back up to the page where it again shows what I have typed and try it again with the "preview" button. When it takes, then I have to "submit" it and if it doesn't submit, then I back up again to the screen with what I had written and do it again. It's been a while since it hasn't taken what I've written at all with these steps.

It's ridiculous to have to perform a lot of mumbo jumbo just to make a simple post. This forum is a piece of crap and deserves to die.

I can't quote anyone. When I enter the captcha it goes right back to the post a reply page with my typed message erased.

It keeps eating my posts. I haven't been able to quote anyone for a few days now.

It's not the forum itself that is at fault here.

It's that for some absolutely baffling reason they're still using Cloudflare. And no, I dont want to know why. It'll just anger me.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Single worst "service" I've *ever* encountered on the net. Ever. Even as I speak, the forum is DROWNING in bot posts. For about the 13095702137589023785092375908243th time. It gets old. And Derpflare is so pathetic that it cant even catch such obvious bots as those. Yet it pesters real users like crazy!

I'd love to see the company behind it crash and burn at this point. I'd *love* that. They kinda deserve it. Badly.

Seriously, to the admins: GET RID OF IT. You'd be doing absolutely everyone on the forums a MASSIVE favor. I bet anything there's been piles of potential forum members that have been completely turned away from this place for good because of this. I've come sooooooooooooooo close to leaving myself many, many times. That's how fantastically awful Cloudflare is. The one, and ONLY, reason why I havent is that I figured out how to bypass that useless service's braindead captcha function (as in, FORCE it to accept the post), which only takes about 5 seconds to do.

When I press the 'Submit' button, there is about a 1 in 5 chance that I'll have a 'Captcha' screen pop up, no matter what platform or OS I'm using at the time.

EDIT: This one, for instance, had no 'Captcha' at all!

It's not letting me post in the GAD forum now. I've gone back and submitted again - about 8 or 9 times now - and it still keeps taking me to a blank message body.

WP, will this bot thing ever be fixed/solved? Why is the CAPTCHA so glitchy????????????????????

And there's a 4 in 5 chance that after I complete the Captcha (even the latest by clicking the "I am not a robot" thing), my post will vaporize, and I'll be taken back to an empty message box.

You seem to have both Aspie and neurotypical traits

Why can't there be a thing where you log on to WP, be forced to complete a CAPTCHA, one where bots generally cannot get through, and then once you entered it it then remembers your username so that it permanently knows you are not a bot, then you can use this forum properly without keep being barred by this CAPTCHA almost every time you want to post?!

All these ugly spam s**t sent by these f*****g bots invading the forum can get through, yet genuine users like all of us members can't most of the time?

It's been going on for too long now, it's about time this was sorted, there's countless threads like these with loads of angry members, yet no owners of the site does anything about it.

Its all about Patience. If shared I.Ps are going to make mincemeat out of us, its time to bite back.

The lowdown on this issue is that its bitten off more than it can chew.

It won't let me submit posts in the GAD or the haven now. It takes me to a CAPTCHA where I'm asked to select pictures what all have a street sign in or something like that, and even though I carefully select the correct ones, it says "incorrect. Please try again." When I do try again, or press "verify", it still does the same thing again. I can't get past it. And no, my posts haven't included quotes, links, pictures or anything else, it's all just normal text.

And yet I've just been to the GAD and it's invaded with bots AGAIN. How the f**k did they get past the CAPTCHA whereas I can't???

Q. -- "What does it generally mean for problem X to remain unsolved?"
A. -- "That the intersection of the set of people who want problem X solved with the set of people who can solve problem X is empty."

Q. -- "What does it take for a person to become a bot?"
A. -- "A slow Internet connection."
