So if there's a gap in the middle of my bra at the front and it stands away from my body, am I wearing one too big or small? So much information, my head hurts. I just want to have pretty cleavage like the other girls at school have. I feel like I'll actually be more attractive if they make cleavage. I think I'm a C, at least that's what I wear now anyway. I'm not so sure now. >.<

You wear too small cup, because your boobs haven't enough room, so they push the wires and pull the band. Wires should lie around your boobs, flat on your chest, from the sternum to the middle of armpits. Like on the Bravissimo's guide pics.

You can be sure that you're not C. C, in every size, is small bust. I often convert women from 34C to 30F. 30, 32 and 34 F are the most popular sizes in Poland.
Bfcidade wrote posts on her blog about D and G cups. Both are very common and look normal.

Maybe I'm a D or DD? I don't know. I have been raised with the misconception that Ds are huge. As far as band size...I have no idea. I might have to go up to a 42D. I still don't think my breasts are huge or anything, as some of my friends are ever so eager to point out because some of them have breasts bigger than their heads. I hope their backs are okay because they look painful. >.>

Maybe you are. You should measure yourself - tight under bust and loose around bust - and use calculator I linked above or ask me.
Then try to wear it. I posted some shops in Bras and Cup Size threads. Online Brastop, Bravissimo or Figleaves are ok (I tried them).

I've seen breasts bigger than owner's head - it isn't painful if owner wears right size. Imagine big, heavy backsack hanging only on the shoulders - yes, it's painful. But if you wear a band around your waist, it isn't. 90% weight of the boobs should lie on the band. If the band is tight enough, straps can be narrow, even in big sizes. I have bras with 0,5" straps and I'm 30HH.

It says I'm a 42DD. Ya sure? I don't know about that.

I guess I'll have to try some on and find out. I'll probably have to do this with friends though. It'll be hard to convince mom to let me try one in the store because, "that's unnecessary! There's no way you're that busty anyway." D:

Oh I hate that. My stepmom was like that, too. Tell her that you'd rather try it on and make sure, then risk getting the wrong size and having to come back to return it. And you know, she might be wearing the wrong size too! Every bra is made differently so even if you know your size, it's better to try it on.

If your measurements are 105 (41,5) and 117 (46) and you've done it correctly, 42DD should be your size.
Your Mom probably wears wrong size too, because America is veeery bra-unfriendly. Shops have poor size diversity.

She probably does. She wears a 40C too and I'm certain that her boobs are bigger than mine since she had two kids and gained weight since then. D:

nekowafer - Yeah, it's a pain. I'll try telling her that when that time comes. Either way, I'll want to go bra shopping with friends first to make sure that it'll go over smoothly. I'll try looking in the clearance racks (lol pun!) to see if they have one in my size and see what happens. My boobs aren't really held up the way that they should based on the photos that were posted in the Cup Size thread. It really surprised my ex the first time I took my bra off because my boobs are perky but they look like they are sagging a bit. I dun want saggy grandma booobs. D:

I got a new bra that's a DD, the cup fits perfect now. The straps are still too much on me, but I'll live for now XD

I simply do not wear a bra. If pervy men want to stare, let them. That is their problem not mine. They can look but not touch.

I hear that lot of women wear the wrong bra size.

I soooo wish that was an option for me, but I simply cannot stand up in front of my classes braless with my 34-F's -- I need the support. I really do think about reduction surgery, so I could have the braless option.

Topic revivial no jutsu!

I'm reviving this topic to bring an update: I went bra shopping yesterday! I have 3 new 40D bras (hooray for clearance priced bras!). The band fit perfectly with a 42D but the cups were HUGE on me. So I went with a 40D and put on an extender for those extra 2 inches. The cups fit so much better now and my boobs are held up to where they are supposed to be. I didn't even bother trying on a DD since they are hard to find in stores and if a 42D was too big than I wouldn't be able to keep a 42DD on my body. XD

I'm a little frustrated that I still don't have cleavage though. I guess I'll have to buy one of those expensive push-up bras.
