Maybe that's another beauty of being an Aspie, an ability to stick to an unwavering faith

Yes, but also understand that religion could be a special interest for an aspie. If that were true, I'd suspect that everything would be defined by religion. It would then be up to the rest of us to determine whether or not such an interest is well worth the technical and social product.

DataImzadi, I doubt emp will reply again. I don't think he'll recover from the pwning my last post did. I wouldn't try arguing with him anymore either, because I've already proved that he doesn't read more than the first line of your post.
Also, emp, Why can't the/a God that created genetics use them for his own purpose? You confine God to doing miracles.

My experience has been similar.

I used to lament that all those years ago that god didn't make someone for me. When I met my wife I realized that he made me for her.

The misfortune, subatai_baadur, is not the threat of hell, or anything like that. It is the absense of hope. An atheist who believes in nothing can not have hope for tomorrow. And hope is what makes life bearable.

Truth is, no one can truly be an atheist. Everyone believes in something. Even if it is that you believe there is no God, you still believe something, don't you.

Belief is inherrent in human nature. God put it there so we would seek him out. Why else would there be so much religion, and so many theories as to the creation of the world etc. Belief in Evolution is a religion. Belief in human supremacy is a religion. It is not possible to believe in nothing. Not possible.

None of the fairytales really happened. But there's so many of them, it has to be true, right?

See, illogicial.

Just because a thousand fools believe something, doesn't make it true. I mean, people used to believe that the earth was the centre of the universe, we know that's not true.

(The church generally tends to be very good at rubbishing the views of people who are right, btw.)

Athesist
One who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods.
You can have hope without believeing in any Gods.

I know because I always have hope. I don't believe in Gods.
