Oh, I thought he was defining terms vaguely enough to include his perception of me so that syllogistically he could insinuate me as a troll. My mistake, Eh?!

Is is not for me to analyze you, but I can say I often think something is about me when it is not.

Overall, however, I believe Al comprehends how trolls operate and sometimes even joust for position.

Yes and I think that any want of a troll subforum will have the effect of now creating a disenfranchised chaotic hell that is intimidating and scary for all who enter but rather will rather too quickly develop a culture and a pecking order and as such a gang of tough degenerates with a common and aligned interest that will have a homebase and access to PM's and would start competing to ever prove themselves.
But creating the environment to punish and ostracise members, you would create a breeding group for a tenacious strain of troll.
Survival of the fittest would leave you with the fittest. Send in ten people a week and have 90% flee in horror, you will have after one year 52 harden trolls.

I really don't think anyone here needs that.

I was not saying anything about you or your action Iamnotaparakeet. I was saying a subforum for trolls would be a crap idea. That said, if you decide to push and get such a forum up and running, I am more than game to be a founder and take on all comers.

How did you manage to read anything about what I said to relate to you?

Yes indeed and let's look at what a troll is. He could be a Odyseuss trickster provocateur. A person who sees ways around problems thinking outside the square and undermining situations that threaten his existence (Cyclops) or threaten to bring down his friends (Wooden Horse) and lauded for his ingenuity, OR he could be the bully who targets the vulnerable people in ways subtle and not easily pinned on him.

Similar Modus Operandi. So which is a troll? Both. Are trolls inherently bad or wrong? No.

Agreed, but then we do still get to judge their agendas, do we not?

Yes of course Lee and sometimes you will be right and sometimes wromng and sometimes it is a matter of perception.

What do I mean?

OK the Odyseuss example of the Trojan Horse.
Clever and creative troll. Worthy trick and brilliant battle strategy.

That is what the Greek's thought.

What did the population of Troy think?

I do not know that story well enough to answer, but I think I know what you mean!

Oh wow, I did not see this post before.
Well no I wasn't BUT now YOU have mentioned it, do YOU think your actions could be considered troll worthy?
Yes? What is it that you think fits the mold? The underhandedness? The concealing intent? Might makes right approach? The substituting similar terms of reference to confuse the issue? Passive-aggressive behaviour (swapping from attacker to victim)?
Are any of these possible issues you think may fit the mold?

I think I don't, but then again this is about as good as an admission of guilt from you. Apology accepted.

It is? I don't think you believe this because I do not believe you either arrogant, stupid or self-righteous enough to misreading this so terribly. Which kind of makes me wonder why you would bother trying to insinuation this as either an apology (which it isn't) or an admission of guilt (which it isn't). Makes no real sense? Did you actually read what I wrote?

Intensitysquared. Just another internet forum.

To me, it seemed to be the source of attacks upon me, although I suppose it was rather just a subset of the members. Hope you aren't too offended about my removing you and a few others from my facebook friends list. After changing the privacy settings I wanted to be sure there were no more potential sources of leaks onto I^2 and I when I was investigating the site I noticed a few of my facebook/WP friends also had I^2 accounts. I was paranoid, so I removed approximately 1,311 of my facebook friends (most of whom were for facebook games such as City of Wonder or just random).

I don't remember having you on my friends. And I was not part of any of this drama. But I read it.
