I hate those commercials that try to make you believe they're TV talk shows, that are actually a half-an-hour, to an hour long, either expressing some bullsh*t political view, or are trying to sell some mail order product.

You mean "infomercials".

If you have to get up to go to work at the wee hours you get those instead of the news (the networks rent out their time to informercials in those hours). Skin care products, or exercise equipment, or get rich quick schemes, or whatever. Yeah a person does get sucked into them thinking that they are actual programs.

I have live internet streaming TV on my Roku and I notice a huge chunk of UK channels go to this "High Street" thing during overnites (solid infomercials like P90X and Beast). I guess it's a little more entertaining than watching a "Back at _PM" graphic, or a promotional "nightscreen".

I am really sick of the "I'm a Fan" commercials for Dairy Queen. They get on my nerves very easily and the singing is godawful. Instant mute.
Any of those "It's What You Do" Geico ads are awful as well. The commercials have NOTHING - ZERO - ZILCH to do with car insurance, WHATSOEVER!! It isn't until you hear "but if you want to save 15% or more on car insurance..." at the end of the commercial where it's for Geico. The latest one is a stupid guy acting as "Peter Pan."
Forget Progressive's Flo as well. How can that stupid woman selling insurance go on for almost 8 years now?

The "Sonic Gluttons" really pluck my nerves.
