A sequel to Rain Man.

Film adaptations of the TV shows Matlock and Perry Mason, even though there have been rumors of a Perry Mason movie in the works.

A fourth Matrix movie.

A sequel to Forrest Gump.

Film adaptations of any old TV show that has NOT been adapted for film.

The 70 Year Old Virgin

Seriously. Does anyone want to watch an 80 year old man chase 70 year old females around the city while looking for love?

A sequel to D.O.A.
In the original, Dennis Quaid is trying to discover who had poisoned him before he dies. It ends with him staggering off.
The sequel lasts fifteen minutes, when he finally dies.

The Simpsons: Real Life

Release date: Christmas season 2035

A decade and a half after The Simpsons is cancelled, a real life motion picture is produced in the samme manner as "Dennis the Menace" and "The Flintstones". The movie stars an aging and washed out Taylor Lautner as Homer. Will be released three weeks before christmas to cash in on the holiday spirit.

Seymour Schmidt Tax Attorney

Seymour tends to his riveting job of tax law:

He comes to the office, has coffee
His first client of the day enters his office
They discuss tax matters
Papers are looked through
Client leaves
Seymour picks up his Dictaphone and describes the wildly interesting meeting as follows:
Met with client to discuss tax matters, reviewed papers regarding same. .6 hours.
Suddenly we flash forward to the near future where his secretary is listening to the recording outside his office. We zoom in on her computer as she types, "Met with client to discuss tax matters, reviewed papers regarding same. .6 hours."
Secretary takes sip of coffee.

Repeat 15 times.

Between client meetings things get really tense on several occasions such as when the printer needs an ink refill or one of the secretaries sees the window washer out of the corner of her eye and is startled for a second or two.

(That's kind of what my job is like.)

Hey, Glenngary, Glennross made real estate interesting, and that's a subject that's normally as exciting as watching pain dry.

As a writer

I have to say some of these might actually have some potential.

Plot: A guy protects his pregnant girlfriend during a zombie apocalypse.
Subtitle: There was no time for protection. There is no protection from the infected.

This is actually the best one on here right now.

At the very least they're original and have some semblance of a conflict. (Except for the ones based off existing films, those ones actually hit the mark somewhat.)

But knowing Hollywood, they'll manage to turn even the best ideas into a load of trash.

This IS Hollywood, after all.

Wow, thanks. I was thinking the plot would take place over 9 months then they reach a small medical shelter with other survivors and very few doctors then the woman gives birth and then the baby's cry attracts the zombies to the shelter. A few manage to break in and then the shelter is overrun. The guy stands in front of his girlfriend and newborn son, raises a semi-automatic, aims toward the barricaded door beginning to crack and then cliffhanger.

That ending doesn't quite sound very good Q_Q. It can probably be done a hell of a lot better xD

But hey, I'm planning to be a writer anyway XD

Well you don't expect anything to go well during a zombie apocalypse. This is one of those moments where the outcome depends on the viewer. If you think they can get out alive, then they will. If you think they won't, then they don't. Optimism or pessimism of the viewer determines the undetermined fate.

(This is a great thread ! ! Here's one I came up.)

After the success of the "Deep Throat" movie in the early seventies, a porn publisher (based on Al Goldstein) decides to remake The Wizard of Oz as an X rated musical. We follow his exploits as he attempts to sell the idea to financial backers, and goes through a lot of casting for the female leads (ahem). He actually gets ahold of funding, and starts filming, but the remainder of the money goes up his nose and those of the actresses and the dwarves he has hired to be flying monkeys with certain, (cough), changes to their costumes. He is sued by MGM, and at the end we see him in a run down New York apartment watching the few bits of the film he completed, while doing more drugs with aspiring porn actresses, and a comedian addicted to pharmaceutical painkillers who is inspired by the clips to film his own movie about a clown at Auschwitz.
