A quick guide to watching Star Wars the clone wars

Season one:

Watch:
Storm over Ryloth
Innocents of Ryloth
Liberty on Ryloth
This one is known as the Ryloth arc, an improvement of the season, also watch for continuity.

Hostage Crisis
The season finale, worth a watch if your a fan of the Bounty Hunters, also for continuity.

Season 2:

Watch:
Landing at point Rain
Weapons factory
Legacy of terror
Brain invaders
If you're into zombies or like the "aliens" movies, you might enjoy that arc. At the very least watch for continuity.

The mandalore plot
Voyage of temptation
Duchess of Mandalore
Possibly the best arc of season 2. You are introduced to Death watch, fan favorite villains.If you enjoyed the mandalorians in the old republic timeline, you'll really enjoy that arc.

Death trap
R2 come home
Lethal trackdown
Daniel Logan who played young Bobba Fett reprises his role. You get to see Bobba in his early days becoming a bounty hunter.In this arc he tries to avenge his father.

Optional:
The deserter
Not necessary for overall story, but it does have an interesting moral story involving a clone who chose not to fight.
I personally like it.

Season 3
The first half of season 3 are conclusions to events that happened in season 1 (the episodes up to this point were not necessarily in chronological order for strange production reasons). Some of them skippable.

**First half**
Watch:
Clone Cadets
ARC troopers
Chronologically Clone cadets is the earliest point in the show (it happens months after episode 2).The only reason i don't recumbent skipping clone cadets is because it compliments ARC troopers.

Hunt for Ziro
The Mafia style in this episode is interesting, it also explains how jabba rose to prominence in the Hutt Cartel.

Optional:
Heroes on both sides
While there is continuity in this one, If you really din't like the prequel politics you might not like this one. On the other hand you do get to see the Confederacy's point of view in the story.

**2nd half**
(the rest are all good episodes)

Pandawan lost and Wookie hunt, will make you forget the childish tone of season one.
also: try to spot the many easter eggs in the Trandoshan trophy room

Wow, thanks! That's very helpful, I don't know when I'll get round to watching it, probably in a week or so, but I'll remember this.

Don't forget season 1's Rookies. It was were the series really started to take on a more serious tone. Also, it's one of the few episodes which focuses on the Clones themselves. As apposed to putting Jedi in the spotlight.

Season 4
By season 4 the episodes were better, but arguably not as good as the 2nd half of season 3.I remember when that season aired screaming" "just get to Darth Maul already!! !! " More optional episodes in this one, but i sya they are still worth your time.

Gungan attack

This is a story arc that ties directly to the 2003 clone wars microseries.The underwater war action is pretty good and you get to see Ackbar before he became Admiral of the rebel alliance.Worth you time but not everall important, you could always come back to it later.

Watch:
Darkness on Umbara
The general
Plan of dissent
Carnage of Krell
Like "rookies" this is a very clone-centric arc, dealing with moral issiues of command and mutiny.

Optional:
Kidnaped
slaves of the republic
escape from kadavo
Not esential to continuity but the villains in this are are rather interesting.Zygerrians:slavers.They're not your typical blaster wielding thugs, they use psychology and domination to get their way. Trivia: the Zygarian queen is voiced by Rajia Baroudi (the white Alien Ranger from the power rangers franchise).

Watch:
a friend in need
Continuity to the Mandalorian arc from season 2,requires watching "heroes on both sides" from season 3 to get the full story.

In this Arc Obi Wan goes undercover as a bounty hunter.Watch for continuity.

Revenge
The season finale, finaly Maul is back!! ! But serioustly, just watch it.
Trivia: in "brothers" if you pay attention to Maul's mad ramblings you can hear him recite the code of the Sith from KOTOR.
Behind the scenes:Sam Witwer,Maul's voice actor (who previoustly voiced Starkiller in the force unleashed) snuck-in the sith code, which according to director Dave Filloni wasen't in the original script.Studio and network politics prevented him from inserting many EU (now legends) references,like he wanted to.So Filoni and Witwer were able to get past the censors with that one
