There are a couple of factors that I think really elevate this scene in general. First is the music, more specifically the dramatic choir. Out of all the overused Hollywood movie cliches out there, the dramatic choir is one of my favorites. As far as I'm concerned, a dramatic choir in just about any scene makes it even better and I never tire of it all these years later. Second is Nicolas Cage's over-the-top acting. There's just something so entertaining about watching him in this scene going from screaming out in pain during the start of the transformation to maniacally cackling as his skin gets burned off of his bones. It's a scene that I still enjoy watching to this day and can never get enough of.

I can't even listen to the music from this scene without getting choked up or in the scene when Simba finds Mufasa's body. *sniffles* Damn you, Scar! God damn you to hell!! !

All the parts with Joy. It's Joy at her best! :heart: :heart: I especially love when she falls down pretending to be Sadness, when she impressively pole-vaults with the french fry like a super athlete and takes that assertive badass stance with that look of total pwnage in her eyes :cheers: , and then the brief moments around when she says "I am positive this is crazy!" when the wind blows her hair and the parts of her dress around her legs. I love to use YouTube's slow-play feature at those three scenes and just admire how awesome she is. :hail: Man, she is so sexy! :heart: :heart:
