My Dad aquired some illegal (Statewide) fireworks from somewhere and gave them to me this year. They were these tiny rockets that shoot all over the place and make this loud whistle. They weren't half as cool as my bomb (sic). That thing sent a concussion down the street and left a small fire where it had been. I normally try to keep them from fragging, but there was no avoiding it this time. I was picking up pieces of it all over the neighborhood.
Next year, I hope to aquire rocket motors, wood dowels, dynamite, and duct tape.

Fireworks are illegal in my city but if one goes on the roof top of a tall building, you get this fantastic view of all these rockets being shot in the air all over town. Beautiful, but annoying if those said fireworks are being set off on your street. I mean, we even had a bad thunderstorm, today, and as soon as it slacked up, they couldn't wait to start shooting rockets again. One good thing about the 4th. My mother's visiting us for two or three days. I don't want her to go home, though.

As I mentioned before, fireworks are illegal here, but there were tons of big ones, as in thne professional size ones that require a pyrotechnics liscense, going off in large quantities all over the city. My eyes are still burning from the sulfur smoke from the ones I lit off. All but one of mine weren't that big.

...And my throat is sore from berating kids for their stupidity.

I used to like cracker nights but they have been banned in my state since 1972. Seems too many horrible kids and older people who should have known better were tying bungers to cats' and dogs' tails and setting them alight. Also, there were incidents of vandalism with firecrackers and accidents to kids holding crackers that went off prematurely.

I can remember the lady across the road going ballistic because some kids blew up her pension cheque along with her letter box. She promised dire injuries to them if she ever managed to find out who did it. Around the same time, some kids from the same set of flats put a small firework down my younger brother's t-shirt and burnt him.

I think maybe there wasn't enough supervision of kids using fireworks but it's a shame that cracker nights had to be banned.

The streets in my neighborhood were having a blast with the safe and legal fireworks. My town here placed restrictions on sales including a rule that says only a few sellers can obtain a license and sell fireworks for non-profit charity.

Eventually fire engines were cruising down the streets and informing us that we cannot fire too many legals at once and cannot set them off in the middle of the street because it impedes traffic.

But we had a blast though: Great sets.

I just thought it would fit better in the Members Only forum because it was a concern.

I want to make something similar to a firework for the government to receive.... PLASTIC EXPLOSIVES.
