She probably got it through work as a PHD student. Really doubt from a party. Probably sourced back to the move in parties that happened though.

I wonder what sort of PHD work would have exposed her. I am guessing something like Social Work?

I just think a lot of people really want to know how the disease actually spreads. Like can you really get it by using the touch screen on a Redbox and then touching your face? I don't recall when I've ever seen confirmation of this mode of transmission, whereas it's become clear to me that by attending a house party you're basically asking for it.

That is an affirmative.
I will bet your left testicle on that. 8)

27 million people around the world got COVID. Most have recovered. Almost a million have died of it so far.

It’s not “just the flu.” The death and severe illness rate is low—but is about 4 times that of regular flu.

You can get it by touching your face after picking up the virus on a surface. I might have gotten it that way. I had a mild case, luckily. No shortness of breath. No hospital.

"With" included dying from CV as well.
My intention was to highlight that some of the figures included people who died of some co-morbidity. 8)

My grandmother is now in the hospital. She had surgery a couple of days ago and now seems to have an infection. Talked to my mom over the phone this morning. Her brother, my great uncle, died earlier this year under similar circumstances. She was supposed to get her mobility back from this surgery.

I hope the doctors will resolve the infection.

I’m sending hopeful prayers for her recovery.
