I don't get why the outside world hates us so much. Seriously. For the most part, we don't tend to be jerks. Just different.
Perception is reality. What we may perceive as "just different," others may perceive as "being a jerk," and thus we don't understand why we're hated so much. That's about it in a nutshell.

People need to get over themselves. Almost all neurotypical people couldn’t give a sh-t about neurodiverse people. Most of the hate people are talking about getting here is personal and not endemic.

We're largely hated because we exhibit traits that only exist because we're on the spectrum.

There are a set of rules in society. Rules about how you are supposed to behave. Rules about what defines being succesful. Rules about hierarchy. These rules are based on neurotypical thinking. If you have the ability to "light up the room" and are socially popular you are likely placed higher in the informal social hierarchy than a more intelligent, well informed but less polite and easy going person. By these criteria autistic people are not viewed as informal leaders, but quite the opposite. So when a straight forward autistic person speak from knowledge and point out others misstakes and wrong assumptions it's likely seen as inappropriate and disrespectful to a person higher in the social hierarchy. I wouldn't say "the outside" hates us. It's a clash between two different ways of thinking about what's important and what's not.
