Yeah but does not the pc liberal trend seem to favor women and ethnics? If anything she'll win the democratic seat BECAUSE she's female (plus she's Bill's wife). Plus most Americans are tired of republicans. Plus the most important thing of all, wallstreet will benefit from her election.

Politics are becoming too mainstreamed, too poppy. Dull on imagination, splitting america into 2 ignorant camps, both of which are deeply rooted in hive mindset.

Bush can't even get a 700 mile fence built. What makes you think he - or any of his successors - are going to be able to build a 10 thousand mile superhighway?

uniting three countries is more of a priority for him than border security. kindof defeats the point if he builds a fence you know

Snake321: your second comment proves your first one can't work. Even if Hilary runs a successful campaign, she will be derailed by either the republicans (Bill's blowjobs or her policy on anything they don't agree with), Wall Street won't want her because it'll destabilize the market, and the media (Fox News esp) will scuttle her because they prefer the devil they know. If the Democrats had anyone else, Kerry for example, they might stand a chance. But with Hilary, I can't see it happening.

if the democrats stood a chance with kerry, they would have driven such a failure like bush into the ground.

your logic is flawed.

the best option the democrats had for president was howard dean and they shied away from him because he had that yelling thing...because showing enthusiasm is a bad thing. you might actually win if you're enthusiastic about your campaign.

Kerry had no chance in 04 because the republicans still held the balance of power. Now that the Democrats hold it (because of that election thing that was held last year) means that if Kerry ran next year, and because Bush is history because he can't run for a third term, he would win in a landslide (unless he was scuttled in the same way that Hilary would be, or in the way Goldwater was). Doesn't matter who wins anyway, they have to remember that they will be in charge of the most powerful western nation on earth, and if they screw it up this time, no one will save them, because everyone will go down, like in the Billy Joel song Goodnight Saigon.

are we still the most powerful nation?

i know we no longer lead in healthcare advances, technology, or civilian longevity.

i think whoever takes power really needs a vision for actually taking us forward and progressing not only ourselves but the world towards a better future.

and also needs to keep a close eye out for russia and putin. he says he's stepping down but with the moves taken and done recently..including the shirtless pics publicity stunt thing....i could easily see him finding some way to gain emergency power and staying in power...or handing off power to a friend and being a consult on issue.

Pity Alucard can't, he isn't an American citizen.

In order to run for president you have a be a natural born US citizen or have a parent with natural born US citizenship. (If your born in another nation but one of your parents is native born American you count as a natural born)

It's complicated.

It won't destabilize the market, the pc trend is pretty thick, and not just on this forum. Most Americans are very liberal, kinda a blind knee jerk reaction to the past 8 yrs of the Bush adm. And most people seem to almost worship Bill Clinton as a president (despite the blowjob incident, which is --only-- brought up now in the argument that Bush gets away with breaking tons of international laws and violating our constitution and getting off the hook while Clinton got a blowjob in his term and was nearly impeached). As you can see there is quite a market for her.
