I'm a Pisces, and the attributes associated with a Piscean person (introverted, empathetic, spiritual, intuitive, etc) apply to my RL personality. 8O

But I reckon it's more of a coincidence if anything. Heh...

Apparently, a person of my starsign has the hots for teh crabs (Cancer), fishes (duh) and scorpions (Scorpio). :p

I would make a rant about astrology, but Neanthumain and others have said it all in their posts. Instead, I'll post an image from one of Maddox's rants. (Can you guess at what it is? :P)

P.S - I love Maddox.

http://www.astro.com/

this is the site i use to get the basic information - i have drawn up charts completely by hand, using an emphemeris, and it took bloody days, so i don't bother anymore.

you have to know your time, place and date of birth. and accurately - charts change every 4 minutes (although not drastically, enough to make a difference).

I'm pretty sure Scorpio starts at Oct 23, not 21.

Anyway if anyone wants to 'diagnose' me feel free:
I was born at 13:13 on October 24th 1983, in the Francis Perry ward of the Royal Women's Hospital, Carlton.

I don't really believe in Astrology, but I find it rather amusing since it usually tells me I'm going to become a spy or something. Exchellent. ;)

as to why it happens (if it does), i have no idea. all i know is that i have successfully worked with people, found out about them, and even found out things they never told me, because i did a birthchart for them (each one takes me a full day, by the way).

if it doesn't suit you, fine. works for me. oh, and i never read horoscopes.

You do birthcharts???

I was born June 14 and I am a Gemini. I don't think astrology is a science at all.

Strange you'd mention all that. I was just doing a profile on myself today on this win-writer program my mom got.

Here's my info:

Equal:

Sun sign: Scorpio (cusp of Sagittarius I think), 11th house
Moon Sign: Scorpio, 11th house
Mercury: Scorpio, 11th house
Venus: Sagittarius, 12th house
Mars: Leo, 8th house
Jupiter: Virgo, 9th house
Saturn: Virgo, 9th house
Uranus: Scorpio, 11th house
Neptune: Sagittarius, 12th house
Pluto: Libra, 10th house
Midheaven: Scorpio
Ascendant: Capricorn
North Lunar Node: Virgo, 8th house
South Lunar Node: Pisces, 2nd house

Placidus:

Sun sign: Scorpio (cusp of Sagittarius I think), 10th house
Moon Sign: Scorpio, 10th house
Mercury: Scorpio, 11th house
Venus: Sagittarius, 12th house
Mars: Leo, 8th house
Jupiter: Virgo, 8th house
Saturn: Virgo, 8th house
Uranus: Scorpio, 10th house
Neptune: Sagittarius, 12th house
Pluto: Libra, 9th house
Midheaven: Scorpio
Ascendant: Capricorn
North Lunar Node: Virgo, 8th house
South Lunar Node: Pisces, 2nd house

and that was all on tropical. I tried sidereal and I'd say more than half my houses jumped foreward or back a sign (I think that goes back to what litguy was saying - sidereal is the one with the adjustments where tropical is the more traditional).

My mom bought this program called Win*Writer that does all this. They have a whole bunch of other programs on the disk as well that are supposed to predict your major up and comming spiritual changes through life, obstacles and opportunities, even past lives.

All you do is specify your time of birth (down to the minute), your longitude and latitude down to seconds, your timezone, and then select the specific format of the matrix and house system you want. You just innit and go.
