Yeah Saddam left, only 140 leaders for the "bad guys" to go and that's just in Iraq!

actually a lot more failures occurred on the level of the state and city government first before the federal government. ray nagin and kathleen blanco are both jokes and the punchline is a few hundred people dead and half the population gone and most likely not coming back and increased gang and drug violence in the city.

granted, the federal government has still yet to shell up all the money they promised but the state and city levels failed us first.

Good point. He provided a lot of material for SNL, Letterman, Leno, sitcoms and news pundits. That kept a lot of people working, which had to be good for the economy. :roll:

I think the implication was "good for America." And the inflationary policies he's pursued, while slightly lessening our trade deficit, have been negative overall.

Oh, it was a free trade deal and not inflation that made our goods cheaper for Aussies. I stand corrected from my previous post.

Well...

1. Bush increased funds to Africa for HIV education and prevention of transmission.

2. Bush has pursued diplomatic paths with North Korea. As someone who appreciates having his component atoms in some vaguely appropriate configuration, I can get behind that.

3. His (very) early handling of 9/11 was fairly decent. It's a shame that couldn't last.
