I don't shave anything.

I hate the feeling of bare armpits...there is no place for the sweat to go..

I am lucky that my legs are not really hairy to begin with.

The only thing i do is tweeze my moustache..

I'm with the OP here. Shaving feels gross. It's a pain in the ass. It feels horrible and cold during, and after, my poor legs feel all naked and violated. Yuck. I'm furry.

As for waxing, well, I have tried that a couple times, however, I'm very sure I'm not doing something right. LOL. I am thinking of spending the money and having it done by a pro.

Not sure if you'll read this, but even pros use different materials and different techniques. Considering how much you'll be paying for their labor and skill, it's worth finding out what they use ahead of time. Feel free to PM me if you decide to look into that option and want more 411.

I don't like to shave. I shave anyway because I like to be feminine and I don't like to have hairy legs. I shave like twice a month. Whenever I shave, I always accidentally cut myself. Sometime I use Nair in between shaving. Dawn

I've never shaved.

Yes, you probably do. I got a pretty gnarly cut though. Now it's a pretty gnarly scar.

I don't shave.

First, I get ingrown hairs if I use any type of hair removal.

Most important, why on earth should I?! The only reason American women shave their legs is social pressure. There's no hygenic reason for it. It's also one of the biggest double standards going. Why is it that society insists that hairy legs on a women are gross but has no problem with guys having hairy legs? :x

I frequently wear shorts in public, and I still get hit on by guys.

I do shave, but not my legs and because of social pressure. I just like to be able to see my own piercings...
I do agree that there is social pressure with shaving legs and other body parts and not just in America.

Frankly, I refuse to shave because I see no reason to perform an act of self-mutilation simply for the visual pleasure of men I have no desire to attract. Like the one post-er who mentioned native American blood, I'm also Indian (thank God Columbus wasn't looking for the Virgin Islands!) and have a LOT of thick black hair with deep roots. Waxing my legs HURTS and leaves them bleeding. Creams don't dissolve the hair completely, and I have a mild allergic reaction. Shaving is a pain in the kiester and too time-consuming for me to bother. I'd be sasquatch first. As for the laser, I have a friend who does cosmetic surgery, and laser hair removal is one of the services she offers. I asked her about it, and she told me that even the best systems don't remove the hair permanently. You have to have at least 3 treatments the first year to get all 3 growth stages of the hair and about one treatment a year afterward to keep the hair gone.

Funny one for you one the subject though. My stepfather once offered me $50 to shave my legs. I asked him why he was looking at my legs. It was worth not negotiating the $50 just to see him that embarrassed...

Yours is a gnarly too?

Self-mutilation though? It's time consuming, but unless you cut yourself it doesn't hurt you...

I wax or shave whenever I wear shorts or skirts. I'd rather not show the world my fuzzy legs. Plus they feel better sans hair.

Yes. Self-mutilation. For shaving, the cuts can scar, the razor burns leave nasty and painful rashes, and ingrown hairs are a frequent side effect that can cause infections that can (although rarely) become serious. Another side effect is nerve trauma that can leave the legs without sensation temporarily. Just think about those "gnarly scars." I have one on my ankle from my younger (less secure?) days. I cut myself almost to the bone when the razor slid sideways. The epilation creams are caustic. Electrolysis is actually a form of localized electrocution. Laser removal is a localized burn. Waxing is the intentional ripping of the hair out by its roots. It hurts.

I don't ask my husband to shave any part of his body to be attractive to me. I love beards. It's like wading through the rushes to get to the goodies... So, why should they require something potentially painful or even dangerous of us in order for us to be attractive to them?

I said if you don't cut yourself. People don't always cut themselves while shaving. And you are supposed to you shaving cream or soap or something to avoid razor burn.
