Hey, I'm not a Christian! And not a Witness, of course! I'm the Evil of the Universe

Nightbender, did you see the same program as me on what, the history channel? Chilling. It was good food for thought. I really don't know. The fact that different sources have come to the same conclusion without interacting with one another is worrisome. But until the date gets closer, I can't really know how the world is suppose to die. I'm not planning on the world ending, although it wouldn't surprise me either way. People have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of the world. (well, since the beginning of humans)

That means that the schedule for the day after is wide and clear. I'm gonna stay home and watch cartoons.

No, not another doomsday message :D How many times have we heard this warning that the world is about to end? The Jehovah Witnesses have had plenty such warnings, then it was the millennium which would match with the doomsday, ... How many more such stuff before people will realise the world is not coming to an end?? I find it quite a miracle some people believe this stuff.

Screw it. Let's give the people what they want.Image

Nothing bad of historical proportions could never happen in your time, after all, your all special pets of the cosmic forces that run the universe, and because you are all you, you are too special for anything bad to ever happen to you. Bad things only happen to other people, in other places, in other times, not ever YOU.

It's not that I think bad things couldn't happen to me, it's just sort of like crying wolf. People are always saying the end is nigh, but the sun rises the next day, and life continues.

I thought you left the site, in high dudgeon...even had one of those 'I'm leaving!' threads.

Have thought about a magnetic reversal of the poles for YEARS. I like to "wonder" about all kinds of possibilities and I want to believe its a paradigm shift, or something positive. Hopefully its nothing, but in my heart I do feel that something of some kind of significance will happen. Keep thinking there's supposed to be some other strong alignment during that time. The Earth w/ the sun, or a bunch of planets or something. Guess we'll all find out soon enough.
And I can remember reading about this when I was a child and figuring out how old I'd be on the 21st of Dec. 2012 and I remember thinking clearly that 48 was ANCIENT and I'd surly be SO old that I'd be ready to die at that age. Now it sure doesn't seem so old. :)

Hey, if a star happened to go supernova anywhere in our immediate vicinity we'd be dead. Instantly. Wouldn't even see it coming. On the bright side, though, some bacteria might survive.

Nobody seems to realize it but the world ended many years ago. We're all living in Hell.

When the Olympic game ends in 2012 the site is going to and up a wasteland like it has in Athens or the millenium dome.

Dare you to use millennium dome and 2012 in the same google search.

A gamma ray burst that could wipe out life on Earth would only happen if one of the star's magnetic poles was oriented towards us...
