Hi City, thanks, I deleted the post in a fit of emo rage, I had posted it in one of the pet threads, and there it sat for 4 days, not even a remark like oh I don't like ferrets, or ferrets stink, at least that would have been something, its like the post killed the thread.

Wish I had seen it.

As for me, I feel left out in most forums aside from Random Discussion b/c I don't fit the "criteria" for AS even though there is no real criteria. I'm not very good with words espeacially when it comes to threads like the PPR Forum. So I don't really have a good way of putting words in a pedantic or academic way of speaking.

 It's funny the way people perceive themselves here. I would think Missconstrue is one of the most popular posters here.

I what know what you mean nightbender, I don't really feel a part of the community, the majority
of my posts never get a reply. It really got to me when I posted the death of my pet on tuesday,
not one reply. It hurt not being acknowledge, but then, most of my posts are ignored anyhow. I have
decided to only post occasionally, and only to people are trying to be a part of the community.
So your not alone when it comes to being ignored.

My deepest sympathies go out to you spudnik... if i had seen that post I surely would have said this there... As a pet owner I know what it is to lose a furry friend, and nobody should have to face this alone.

I actually just joined yesterday. Honestly the sheer size of this forum overwhelms me. I'm surprised any but the oldest members of the forum 'feel like they belong'. When there are so many other people it's so easy to feel like just another face in the crowd.

hi mishi_sings! glad you are here!
most people go to the introduction thread :getting to know you: and post a hopeful yet dignified opening thread with an interesting topic like " hey, I'm the new guy!" and then watch your emails for the post notifications to come through, then you can click on the links in the emails and see who has posted in your thread. If someone does say: I like to bla bla bla." and there ya' go. a conversation! just like that.

I used to wander up and down the lists like looking at books in a library, and , like the library, I stop at the thread titles until one interest me and then I read, and if I am moved to post, then I do.

Welcome to WP.

Merle
