For those of you who voted "no" to the head question, please define what a *Religion* is......

Christianity is just another kind of business and government. It was built upon Pagan religions in order to unite people in one strong community and then spread all over the world, but its aim remained the same - to keep people under control.

the problem with this is that it means what it means to a given person.

to me, to qualify as a religion requires the vigorous criteria that it work on at least a significant fraction of its practicioners to actually achieve altered states of consciousness.

If no, then its just a paradigm vampire paradigm with pretensions of being religion because thats where the blood pool is.

If a group of people subscribes to a form of superstition and/or performs some type of empty rituals and/or has a sectarian rather than a unifying attitude and/or factually believes in myths should be called a religion, then yes, I would say Christianity is certainly a religion.

My answere is yes.. by the way I don't trust Wikipedia.. nor most dictinaries.. they are so controlled and manipulated these days.. they can put whatever definitions they want in there wthout getting true consent from the public, so what is their definition worth?
