Why would that affect my personal belief in the supernatural? I don't believe that anyone has an individual spirit for this very reason.


Define what you mean by "spirit"

I believe animals do have souls/spirits. They are Nephesh Chayah

I don't like thinking about the supernatural. I do it only as much as I feel is necessary, and concede nothing else

My worldview is otherwise very secular in any way you can imagine

I've seen too much "freaky s**t" to completely discern the existence of an immaterial realm.

To the point of the topic though.

Satanism can either be Atheistic or Theistic. Theistic Satanism is the worship of Satan. Atheistic Satanism is the worship of humanity.

Absolutely not. Especially when you've seen nothing but idiots on all sides all your life, no sign of miracles, and only a world full of people where with or without religion truth takes the back burner - and the ultimate understructure of all the illusions is social darwinism, evolution, and eugenics.

Its very easy to fall into even for completely honest people. On further examination, disqualifying the people who make a mockery of faith, you start hitting some possibilities which end up in potentially moving toward something of a non-dogmatic spirituality and a sense that yes, everything does have a plan, it can bring you closer to God but it also means that you but out the banality of common stupidity and take human beings and 'society' as the flawed creatures they are.
