In that period people did go a little crazy. Why not? Fear of moderator authority and censor replaced with fear of the unknown? (Tell me that this is not a Aspie worst nightmare come true), Cathartic venting previously stymied? A chance to say what you really wanted to say all this time to the person you "had to say it to"? "Tim Tex. You are a douchebag. I hate you. Rarrrrrrr!! !!.............OK I feel better now." (I have no idea if this is what was said to poor ole Tim but as an example you can see the point.

Now was it trolling (ie activity of trolls for the purpose of trolling others? Or was it members simply venting and releasing pent up angst? I would go the later)

1. troll
One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument

Releasing pent up anger or not, it was trolling.

I see it very differently.
Perhaps the definition is a coverall or perhaps the definition of deliberately could be argued.
At the end of the day I saw normal members just reacting due to change and an unfettering of oppression.
Trolls troll and that in my view is trolling.
Sometimes trolls do not troll.
Sometimes people react in bizarre ways though they are not trolls.
I guess in my view it is a simplistic view and an arguable difference.
They were bot trolls and they were not behaving with the foresight and want of reaction that becomes the troll.

sorry but what?

The last people to become mods are the ones who ask for it. That's how I see it anyway. On my forum I'd never give a position away to someone craving power or asking to be a mod.

Hey Asperger Girl. I have to drop in to your forum and have a look. Say how are you doing for mods...out of curiosity?

This is a message to everyone, I have spoken to the mods and told them I will not press this issue any further. I should clarify that this vid was an attempt at damage control and to a lesser extent some unrelated suggestions. I was looking for an outlet and something to occupy my time, and I inquired about the position oblivious to the fact that requests are not looked upon favorably. The mod team has been supportive for the most part, but there have been nay-sayers outside of the mod team. What I requested was not power, I requested an opportunity to provide assistance. Judge me how you will. I will not report any rule breaking unless it comes to me or if i see something that burns the inside of my eyelids. That's all I have to say, and I will only return to this thread if I have any more responses.
Bye

Do as you want to do there PM. You are a member and this board has a lot of members. You are entitled to your opinions and to express them and back them.
If anyone dislikes them I am sure that people will tell you and if they like them I am sure they will tell you.
I can't see the need for the above statement but I am sure it was meaningful to you and that is the main thing I guess.

OK Quatermass ,I will take it as read that your reluctance to tell us, when questioned what the "agenda" of mine, that you tried to allude to is, mean that you did not really believe I have one and were just trying for a casual smear.
Not very good form to be honest. Quite unbecoming, especially on the back of accusing me of being a troll.
I think you need to have a bit of a look at what you are saying and why you are saying them and reflecting on what you see as truths and moral rights.

Actually, I think he's being smart. My guess is that if he answered you, you would just find something in the answer to pick apart, thus setting up the next round. Seriously, you like doing that, it's part of what drives you, right? So, odds are, he's decided to devote his time and energy to something more productive. I would really enjoy seeing you both call it a day and accept that you are both very different people that help keep the world painted in vibrantly different colors, but some colors ... maybe they are best not painted next to each other ;)
