Well I’m finally off. I’ll see everyone in mid to late April at the soonest, summer at the latest.
Fair well.

That might be the case. It's either that, or the neighbouring region of the Okanagan. My dad actually told me last year, that the summers in the neighbouring town he works in, are hotter than the summers down in Chile!
I know that this is off topic but that's not really surprising. Like Argentina, Chile is farther south than the tropical parts of Latin America and is actually mostly in the southern hemisphere temperate zone .
Actually Chile is a long narrow bacon strip of country that stretches from the tropical 17th parallel ( in the northern hemisphere that's the Yucatan region of Mexico) to the 56th Parallel ( the middle of British Columbia, and a little south of Juneau). Much of the country is in the marine west coast climate zone much like that of Oregon, Washington State, and British Columbia. So its very likely that your dad was in a part of Chile climatically identical to your hometown in BC.

Hi everyone, I know I've said I'd be gone by now, but I just want to say one more thing before I do leave.
I've been reluctant to say this because it sounds harsh and hostile, but I think I need to clarify this because people keep bringing it up. People keep saying I'm upset because people disagree with me on devotion to Our Lady, that's not why I'm upset. I'm upset because, accusing (not questioning, accusing) or claiming as fact, that devotion to Our Lady is a violation of the First Commandment or (for those who don't believe in the Ten Commandments) akin to pagan mother-goddess worship, is according to Catholic moral theology, (which I believe to be reality) objectively immoral. There may be a lack of culpability on the part of the person committing said act, but none the less it is objectively immoral and an offense against Our Lady and Her God.
As a person who has a personal, intimate relationship with God and Our Lady, I do not like having Our Lady treated like that, nor God being offended via that act.
I'm not justifying my actions, I'm just trying to emphasize what's going on here, farewell.

Part of the problem is a certain one particular individual who picks fights with you, because he has a compulsion to pick fights. If you ignore that one individual then that's 90 percent of the problem cured.
However the remaining ten percent of the problem … if you're gonna make your sectarian beliefs the be all and end all of your time on Wrongplanet you have to expect brickbats from non believers.
You might want to look for a Catholic website to do that sorta thing on. And might consider spending less time talking about Catholicism on this site, and find some other topic....like maybe autism?, to talk more about.
I don't mind the Catholic stuff but even as a diehard Catholic I find it hard to keep up.
That said I do not think you should leave; it's kind of lonely around here as a Catholic & I think your enthusiasm for Rome is refreshing.

What do you mean by "hard to keep up?"
(Glad you posted now, and not sooner or later, since I'm practically finished with a unit in my university course. Had you posted sooner or later, I would've either been still working hard to finally get the unit done or trying to get a head start on the next unit. I guess it's Divine Providence.

Thank you for this, I'll read it after dinner. I'll see to keeping your sister in my prayers, although right now, I'm focused on the guy I'm hoping to evangelize. This morning, both today's readings for St. Louis de Montfort's 33 Day Marian Consecration and a daily inspirational quote I've received via email this morning, seem to speak of this.
I need to stay the course.

I mean nothing to "knock" your zeal and deep knowledge of the faith; it's simply that I get rather lost sometimes in following it all. I'm a very quiet sort of man inside and it is difficult to get super zealous about anything sometimes. But this writing you do is quite nice & I rather like seeing it.

^ agreed. And Im not even Catholic. Your personality comes out in it and you have a nice vibe.
Also every now and then the really mean posts get out of hand (where the atheist pplinsult etc) and it seems reminding ourselves that religious 'Aspies' exist is 'bringing balance to the force' and there's some space to not feel alien.
Like I don't pray the 5 prayers anymore..stopped fasting ..etc
but I put the Rumi quote in my signature ever since a member messaged me about certain threads that exist here

Oh I see, well I'm glad I can boost your morale on here.

You're quite right about the passion of the Saints! They tend to have been the sorts of people who got very excited about good things.
There were some likely-autistic Saints too. Look up St. Thorlak Thorhallson, and the life of Bl. Leonie Martin (about whom I am quite sure you know already.)
Not to mention G.K. Chesterton was probably on the spectrum himself though he is not a saint.

Thank you, I sometimes wonder and worry about going too far, mainly because of the anger issues I have. I just need to keep working on that, hopefully by the time I come back on here it'll be well sorted out.
Yeah, I can handle a lot of stuff on here, it's only again, those two issues mentioned in the OP where I really struggle with the anger. I was on here back in 2017 or 2018, I made an "Ask me (almost) anything" thread on the PPR Sub-forum, and some of the people started an Atheist debate on that thread. I was gladly surprised by how easy it was to refute their arguments, (although I'd be lying if I said the way they behaved didn't irritate me.) it was really surprising how straightforward, debating with them. Now unfortunately I had to leave the thread early because of personal problems in my life, I was enslaved to sin back then, and so needed to work on letting God and Our Lady heal me. (That's actually one of the reasons why I'm so passionate; I had a very bad enslavement to sin and so, I needed to get into a really close relationship with Jesus and Mary in order to be free from it.)
So yeah, most of the hostile content on here doesn't bother me. I'm usually more concerned with discerning how best to act or respond, which is a good thing considering what's happened.
