If you don't like it here, you can always start your own PC site. I'd be interested to see how many members u attract and how long it lasts.

I don't know, but as long as there are men on any forum, anywhere in the internet, there will be always sexist comments, or comments considered sexist, I suppose, not all of them come from similar places and have a similar level of education or thinking, we have different kind of poeple.

Another thing, I just have seen like a couple of women complaining about "mysogyny" on this site, don't see enough women complaining about it to really consider that an actually problem, just a thought, probably you are talking about the adult forum, which I'm not there much, so I can't really tell.

This is a good site compared to others, things are a lot worse in other places, especially NT forums.

I just think there is sometimes a very small difference between "venting" and hate speech. I mean, I could sympathise if somebody said "I can't find a girlfriend. It is so unfair that all the other guys can get one but I can't" but instead there were so many comments that amounted to completely unjustified slurs against all women just because the guys had met a few nasty ones.

That's not venting. The earlier statement was
a rant, and would qualify. Whether or not someone
should be using the term 'b***h' to refer to another
human is debatable. Whether the site should take
any action about such comments is another issue -
also debatable.

Do you have examples of such things you've complained about and not had deleted?

Better doesn't always mean good enough.

for example, when it comes to misogyny, WP is doing much better than, say, hip hop.

Strangely enough, I think one can come up with a higher reasonable standard than that.

The fact that more people aren't vocal about this doesn't mean it isn't bothering more people; it could mean they don't have the language for it, or that they don't want to risk pissing off otherwise reasonable and interesting individuals who might be pissed off by it.

Yes indeed. If you check some of the oldest threads on the adult section you will see some that I think will make your eyes pop. I can also PM some if you like.

Looking for things I object to won't tell me what you've complained about in the past- and since the rules aren't enforced till someone complains, it seems less than pointed to worry about enforcement that hasn't been requested yet.

I'm not following your reasoning there.

Jainaday said, "... it seems less than pointed to worry about enforcement that hasn't been requested yet." and you concluded, "Oh well, I won't say anything then."

Help me connect the dots. What brought you to that conclusion? What's your reasoning?

Yes, me too. And I hope you feel better.

men posting on the woman only forum

What defines man/women though. My sex is female, my gender is male. So should I be able to post on the women's forum because I'm physically female? Or should I be refused to because I'm male in every sense but genitalia? What about someone whose phsycially male, but whose gender is female?

Hi, Triangular_Trees,
If one is an androgyne one should be able to post in both male and female oriented forums, as long as one is respectful towards both genders.
A forum at Wrong Planet just for androgynes would be nice, just in case there isn't one already. I'm new here, and may have missed such a thing, as there is so much to explore here! :D

I'm not sure, but I think hale_bopp moderates the Women's forum. You should probably discuss these issues with her. Fiz would be a good alternate.
