Evolution and atheism are literally secular religions created by the public school system so that you worship statism. Which is literally evidenced by all of secular society... and also the fact so many evolutionists think there is "evidence" to support it. It's a religion..

A Christian is someone who believes in the divinity of Jesus. It mostly comes down to personal identity. If a person identifies as a Christian, they are a Christian.

There is lots of evidence to support it. Of course, you are free to disregard it if it conflicts with your worldview.

I was homeschooled by the way. I learned about science as an adult.

Evolution is a scientific theory, not a religion.

It's both widely supported and accepted by many Christians, not just non-believers.

As for your claim that there's no evidence for evolution, that's just silly. Which aspects exactly do you believe lack evidence?

Well that's because it was created by the Jesuits of the Vatican as a control mechanism...

That's a nice poster but it does nothing to undermine the theory of evolution.

Instead what it does is ignorantly conflate evolution and the big bang as though they're not two separate theories that explain two very different questions.

The theory of evolution has to do with where life started and why it's as diverse as it is.

The big bang has to do with the origins of the universe.

The two have zero overlap. The only real connection between the two is that both provide reasonable explanations for things that religious fundamentalists want to insist 'God did it' is the explanation.

Georges Lemaître being a Jesuit is only relevant because it shows how involved the Catholic Church has been in science. If you're going to claim it's all a Catholic conspiracy you'll need more than a poster to prove it.

Can't have one without the other. Evolution is a cute fairy tale, nothing more.

Ironic, coming from a guy who would offer a fairy tale in lieu of scientific explanations.

What “politically correct tangent” are you referring to?

Sorry if this has already been addressed, and I missed it.

I suspect Mountain Goat might be referring to the Anglican schism discussed here, in which case it might be difficult for MG to discuss it directly without breaking WP rules. That being the cause, perhaps you might want to state whether MG has your permission to PM you about it.

If it’s related to that, I’d probably say “no.” I try to keep my PM history bigotry-free.

If that's the case it's disingenuous to insist the schism is due to political correctness when it's much more about either recognizing or denying some people basic rights.

Yep. Not many Christians last long on this site.

I can think of several, long-time members who are Christian. Most are not banned for trolling, belligerent behavior.
