Your right, atheism is an alternitive to religion, however that doesnt make it a religion. It is a belief, but the word belief doesnt have to literally translate to "religion". So it does make sense for an atheist to claim they hate all religions, because their belief is not a religion.

I never said atheism was a religion, I just said that because not everybody has religion an atheist can't just claim to hate all religions without being discriminatory unless they hate themselves, too. If that makes any sense.

Im sorry but it still doesnt make sense, or at least to me. Lets leave it that way though because I dont think we will understand eachother here

Me either. I don't think there is any way to say you hate all religions without being discriminatory.

Doesn't anybody read carefully anymore! :x That's basically what I just said. I said that there is no way to say you hate all religions without being discriminatory unless you hate atheism, too. It doesn't matter that atheism isn't a religion. I'm just saying that if you only hate certain people and don't hate everybody then you are discriminating. If that isn't clear I give up.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think he ever mentioned religion just "nutjobs".

Oh and by the way, Wicca does have requirements, you have to be born into it. At least that's some some Wiccans see it.

I see nothing whatsoever about Wicca that makes it any less silly than Christianity in specific, or other religions in general.

And before you assume things about me, I have read on the subject deeply, have been handfasted to a Wiccan, etc. I have no particular animus against it. I simply fail to see any way in which it differs significantly from other religions.

and if a witch says there is
then he or she isn't a witch

Can we just agree that they are all equally silly and leave it at that.

If you have to be born into it then it must be right, ..joking. Its a clever and unique catch though, I got to admit. I remember some girls saying that in middle school. In that case I wonder who the first wiccan was and when they were born and how it happened...
GoatOnFire, who says its wrong to discriminate?
Doc_Daneeka, I agree how it has a lot of similarities with all other "spiritual" beliefs, but that doesnt make every religion silly. The copycats are the ones who make a joke out of themselves.

You're putting words in my mouth that I didn't say. As I said earlier, read what I wrote a little more carefully or just drop it.

That would be like asking if there are some of the sex rituals seen in the Davinci Code, although that wouldn't be that bad :P

all right something different.

Are Wiccans heavily regionalized throughout certain areas? I've never heard of any around Texas.
