An explanation for the question of why we don't have time travelers from the future is that traveling to the past before the invention of the time machine would not be possible and traveling to the past would be limited at one specific point in time.
Being visited by travelers from future also raises the issue that the future already exist, and also it raises the question if the future is already written, if we perceive our past to be written then the past from the time traveler which is our future is written, from his perspective.
