If I could teach the world to change topic

I would like to lessen the current practice of selfishness, greed and deception, and ensure religion is a hobby and not the used to enslave, terrorize and monopolize governments.

Tall order. :o

My "change the world" would be a breakthrough scientific device (hypothetical of course but who knows?) that was able to view the past. Enter spacial and time coordinates to any place and time on Earth and view what was happening on a TV monitor. See historical events and figures as they really were. Go right back to the dawn of evolution and the formation of the Earth.

Such a device would be a real world changer!

I have had the hard lesson from this site and a couple of others and from the state of the world that a huge number of people are too stupid to appreciate how the universe functions and are determined to believe in the most idiotic and destructive nonsense no matter what the facts may indicate. Humanity is a relatively novel effort by evolution and a few very clever people have dragged much of the world into great technological accomplishments but the mass of inertia and stupidity is overwhelming and the survival of the species and a good many other species looks, at this moment, very dim indeed.

I would change the world by rewarding those who do good things instead of punishing them.

That would be a major change since it is the thugs and crooks and scammers who are doing much better than other well intentioned people. Religion promises reward after you are dead but there does not seem to be a huge voluntary movement towards that solution. Nevertheless the massive stupidity of those in charge of the world may bring many to that esteemed reward.
