So, what does she think about physical illness then? Seriously, I'd love to hear her story about that one. You know, heart diseases, cancer, they can all be genetical, and transferred to your kids. Should people who have cancer in their families stop reproducing? And what about the ones with heart diseases? Or any other physical illness/weakness for that matter.

I do think people with any mental illness should try to adapt for as far as possible for them individually, but there simply are limits. She's very narrow minded and I think that's because she can't SEE the mental illness. A guy with a broken leg, she'd probably carry on her back up the stairs, but a mental illness is something very... vague... and I think that's why she's underestimating what it can be like.

I don't think people with mental health issues should breed, mainly because it will result is less children running around screaming, getting in the way and making my life miserable

I don't plan on having kids anyway, I value my time and my sanity

I think "Deborah" should lead by example.

This is a pretty good come back!! I like it!!

I agree, it's rather snide and quite true, "Deborah" is very ironic, she clearly has a anti-social personality dysfunction.

My diagnosis for "her" is NPD/Sociopathy.

TitusLucretiousCarus]I think it is eugenics. The attitude as well, 'if you don't behave as we do you are not human',[/quote]

It's a prevalent attitude among sociopaths, if you aren't narcissistically-insane yourself or they deem you unworthy, you "aren't" human.

[quote="lotusblossom wrote:

You find sociopaths in the strangest places, you should have told them that if you shouldn't have a child neither should their sociopathic false-selves, let the socially deviant lead by example, they should practice what they preach.

pezar wrote:
Suggesting that people with disorders "put themselves out of OUR misery" is just evil.

It's pathological is what it is, the people who say crap like this are clearly not right in the head themselves. "Deborah" and other sociopathic loonies need to "put up, or shut up" so to speak.

I have to add, the individual with AS in the article who says people like such are her only problem..., obviously doesn't have AS, or she's oblivious to her own deficits. By definition, people with AS won't bother with the opinion of others if it's counter to theirs; they'll just ignore it.

There's no part of the definition of AS that says "doesn't argue" or "stand up to evil".

My adult offspring were talking about their childhoods and their happiest memories were about things that were unconventional and that their friends' parents did not do. They remember us blocking a drain in the back yard so that water could not flow off a pathway. Then I let them surf down the path naked in the rain. A neighbour called child protection, but when they knocked on the door I was able to let them in and they could see a hot bath and warm drinks waiting and 3 children having the best fun ever. Fortunately that was a time I had not joined them because things might have been different if I had answered the door naked. lol.

Financially we had some hard times but recently one of my offspring gave me a card that said, "People who think sunshine brings happiness have never danced in the rain." Well I did that because we had no money for material things and due to my autism, I was able to teach children to find joy in their perceptions of the natural world.

I would never wish the stocks on someone unless the really deserved it like the person who is said that because eugenics for those that do know was part of the evil responsible for the holocaust along with neo spirtuilsim and neo pagan belifes and of course anti-semitism.

Hey, I've said worse than that, although if it's too explicit they might delete the thread without notification... the mods have been doing that a lot lately, I'm not sure why.
