Are you saying that you think Israel should have atomic weapons, but not Iran? If you are, I want to smack you. I will wait for your reply, though. If that is what you think, I will give you a nice little arguement on why it is bullsh*t. If not, we'll see what happens.

That is exactly what I am saying, and I fail to see how anyone should possibly argue it.

Israel = one of the greatest nations on the Earth.

Iran = a backwards fanatical country run by a megalomaniacal zealot.

Yes, Israel deserves nukes because that's all that keeps countries like Iran in check.
You bastard... So because they're a better country they have the right to blow others up? Lives are still lost, and it doesn't matter if it is Isreali or Muslim, a life is a life. Of course, you don't think that way. Just because you like one country better, doesn't mean it's citzens' lives are more important than another country. Now I am starting to go in circles, but I see no reason to continue arguing, as you are
A)A racist/bigoted idiot who will sink to the level of a personal attack
and
B)You are arguing with a very flawed view of the world.

I have a love for Israel and Lebanon.
I have jewish and lebanese background.

Israel has a few thousand Palestinian women being held who aren't even soldiers,
and I find a lot of news is censored to make Israel appear fairer than in actuality.

Right now I see them as both wrong.

My worry is that both have gone to far in this and soon an axis, then major catastrophe.

Oh and, no one should have nukes.

That is the only right answer.

Yes OZ is a place that's not likely, where everyone will put down their snowballs all at once.

One thing I don't think has been addressed here, Is what Israel is tring to accomplish. I saw a report that made sense. Israel has closed off all avenues of re-supply and escape for Hezbollah because they are likely planing a full invasion of Southern Lebenon. Several defense analists have reported that almost the entire IDF is mobilizing for an all out strike. If this is true, Isreali ground troops should start moving within a week. Once in Beruit, they will likely go house to house rooting out whatever and whoever they find. Whether or not this strategy will work is questionable, but if it is effective, I'd have a hard time saying Israel is wrong for doing it.

My point exactly. The first person to put down their snowball gets creamed by those who did'nt.

If the search has to be "effective" for the rest of the world to accept it as legitimate, you can bet that Israel will claim it is "effective" regardless of how it really goes. I do not believe, for a second, that Israel has a right to do any of this. The easy question to ask is whether you would want this happening to you. If you can honestly say that you would be in full support of a foreign power bombing your country and then searching your home with their soldiers, then maybe you really are onboard with this type of tactic. I can't say I want this to happen to me, so I am against it.

I hope that if other nations decide to join the battle that the United States stays out of it completely.

How about the war we are talking about now... most of the people that have been killed so far were just trying to live their lives. not attack anyone. its just because they were living a bit too close to people trying to do these things..

If my country was harboring genocidal zealots, who launched an attack from my country, I would understand why a foriegn power would retaliate.

Your question of wether or not you would want this happening to you is irrelevant. Israel has a right to live in peace. It's neighbors don't want peace. Get it??

They wouldn't be dying if Hezbollah didn't build their military instalations right in the middle of civilian areas. The most... dare I say, only? effective weapon the terrorists have, is propaganda, and every time a civilian dies, they can whip their own people and the european and american leftists into a frenzy by calling the Israeli's murderers.

The lives of those people are not on the hands of the Israelis, who are doing what they must do for survival, but on those of Hezbollah, who put them in dangers way to exploit them in death.

No. It's one of the best explanations of why this conflict is necessary that I've ever read on a message board.

Prove to me that the average citizen in Lebanon doesn't want peace. It's like saying the average American supports everything that any entity in this nation does, as well as supports everything our government does.

The Israelis must attack Lebanon to survive? Funny. So... Whatever happened to attempting negotiations before attacking?

Humans...

They were negotiating with Hezbollah for the release of the first soldier.

Then Hezbollah invaded Israel to kidnap 2 more.

Israel's just responding in kind, and it's Hezbollah's fault for starting something they can't finish and Lebanon's fault for putting up with the scum in the first place.

I never said that the average Lebanese does'nt want peace, It's a significant minority that does'nt. It's like a drug dealer moving in across the street from you. If you do nothing about it, you have to live with the drive-by shootings. Ultimately, it's your fault for not turning in the S.O.B. over to the police!
