I'd starve as there's no place to roam.

There once lived a termite named Hood
He lived in a house made of wood
He chewed it all day
From April to May

And thought that the life of a hood was quite good.

There once was a girl from Ohio
Who constantly said, "Oh, why ... oh ..."
Suspecting intention
Her friend did mention

she took no advice from replies though

A farmer in outback Australia
Was having a chat to a sailor
He doubted his tales
of kraken and whales

...but still he was trying to nail 'er.

I'm sorry my answer was bawdy.
I really don't want to be naughty
but even a rumor,

... invites scatological sorties

(please put the line you had in mind, Mindsigh - variable endings are trendy don'tcha know) :)

An old man from Overthere Pass
Had an appetite one would call vast
He said with a grin
A whole bullock goes in

...but stand back when I'm passing the gas.

A statue once threatened a pigeon
with death if but even a smidgen
of drippy bird flop
should land with a plop...

(the end I had in mind for the last one was "it always goes straight down the potty." But yours had fancier words. :D )

...would render his edifice smitten

There once was a man so brave
He dug up a harlot's grave
She was covered in peat
And missing a teat...

And her nether bits needed a shave

There once was a masculine wombat
who challenged a neighbour in combat
He said "She believes
I eats, roots, shoots and leaves..

...but she didn't see where I put the comma at.

One of my biggest pet peeves
is bad grammar. It usually grieves
me to see it--the drama
of one misplaced comma...

("'Til I found the book Eats, Shoots, and Leaves" is my concluding line, btw, Keni. )

...And my colon is rarely perceived!

A young anorexic named Jane
From eating began to refrain
She said "From behind
I am looking divine...

Left physicists less than overjoyed.
