I feel your frustration. It seems that mostly whenever someone here complains about quirks of certain NT people, posters seem to twist it around and make out the OP to be in the wrong, no matter what the situation is. That is very frustrating. People like Bea Arthur seem to have to be on the NT party's side every time, and it doesn't always make the OP feel any better.
Most situations be like
Aspie in an OP: I was having a bad day today and I have a lot on my mind, and one of my colleagues got offended when I didn't respond to them when they said good morning
Posters: Doesn't matter how you're feeling, if a colleague takes the trouble to say good morning to you the least you could do is respond back. They can't just guess what's going on in your head, because they're not psychics.
Then alternatively,Aspie in OP: I said good morning to a colleague and they just walked right by and didn't even respond, I think that is rude
Posters: Well maybe they had things on their mind and was having a bad day, you've got to think of what could be going on inside their head.
This is the main factor to why I hate being an Aspie. No matter the outcome, it's always the Aspie's fault. But I empathise with the Aspie most of the time, unless the Aspie is doing something wrong. But the OP in this thread is not doing anything wrong. I can understand his frustration.
