My flatmate had 3 rats, she adored them. She used to buy shelves and tunnels for them to keep them interested and active. It's a shame that they didn't live for long.
My mum is fearful of rats' tails. I don't know why.

Apparently, it's because they're naked (not furry like most mammal tails).
