Actually you quite simply have no clue how webware products get built. I have a few on my resume.

To whom are you replying to?

You, you're insisting that a "platform" is not "legitimate" unless it grants Donald J Trump carte blanche, backing up veggie man's idea that our country is going to s**t because we supposedly don't have free speech online. We have free speech online, you are free to build a website where you can censor what I'm saying here.

Donald Trump is also free to build his own website, just for him to spread his lies and to ban all who disagree.

He has not been silenced, not by any means.

There are people who can read code & there are people who feel entitled to new features from the code, then there are people who claim code to be relevant to the best interests of rich a**holes.

Code is just code man. Some people just can't chill out about it.

Misrepresentation.

I am not insisting anything/k.
I am making an observation that a platform can't have a political bias when censoring.
If that is done, it becomes a publisher.

Isn't this a simple fact?

They were a publisher of software before anyone ever tweeted Pepe.

Writing code is fun and easy.  It is no more difficult than learning another English dialect.  Trump could do it, but then he would have no time to play golf, foreclose on orphanages, or evict disabled people from their homes.

And he would be a publisher, not a platform provider.

He has been silenced on twitter, for whatever reason.
That is an indisputable fact.

I am not defending Trump.
I am simply making observations.

Trump being "silenced" on Twitter is like him being told not to talk in the loo -- there is already too much crap there.

You can be both a platform and a publisher.
The problem occurs when someone, who claims to be providing a platform, censors other people's commentary because those opinions are at variance with one's political bias.

Irrelevant.
The objective fact is that he has been silenced on twitter.

I am not defending Trump.

Chris Hedges

Aaron Matte

Dylan Ratigan

Max Blumenthal

I could add more to the list, but that will suffice for now. All of them independent progressive journalists who have been demonitized and smeared in MSN and social media? Their crime? Being against war and criticizing the political establishment.

Trump is irrelevant to the points I'm trying to make.

Gosh! It's like talking to children!

This is what makes whether or not Trump has been silenced a moot point: Posting on Twitter is a privilege, not a right, and Trump was "silenced" because he abused that privilege.

Crying because you are not allowed to play with the big kids anymore when you could instead invent your own games and not invite the others is pointless.  Little Donnie can just code his own social platform, call it whatever he wants, post whatever he wants on it, invite whomever he wants to join it, ban whomever he wants from it, and believe that he rules the Internet.

Problem solved.
