What was objectively better "back in the day?"

That. Oh. It's like everything now is made to break after a year or two. And the stuff is either too crappy to bother with fixing yourself or it's impossible to fix yourself. Disposable everything. It's irritating.

Clothes are also crap now in that way. I used to be able to keep a shirt for twenty years, now I'm happy if I get one that lasts for two. It's crazy to me.

I definetly agree with all this. Stuff made today is mostly cheap crap materials that don't last...

Which is why I like shopping at thrift stores and flea markets. You can find stuff that may be old but at least meant to last.

Truth. There are a few decent thrift stores around me and if I can get what I need from them, I absolutely will. It all costs less and lasts longer.
