It sounds suspicious that you'd ban that person to be honest. Its not up to you to tell me not to say anything at all, you're not a mod anymore. This isn't nazi land, I can ask questions.

Not ones that are clearly belligerent. I answered to the membership in general, and Alex in particular. Not to individuals with grievances. And I made sure that every major action that I took as a moderator was documented. So, again, I suggest that you keep it to yourself unless you actually have something valid to say rather than supporting a belligerent troll who does not deserve your support. I don't even know whether I banned them personally, but if I did, it wouldn't have been because of the blog. I admit to being sorely tempted, but that was no reason for a ban. It would have been for a much stronger offence. Now, go away and stop bothering me, please.

I guess your time is very precious. :? But no need to be so f*****g rude.

Oops. We need to place principles before personalities here.

@murphycop: Mods are told to not publicly discuss specific mod actions here, so you really need to stop challenging even a former mod. Please! :)

Ok, didn't know that! Thanks.

You registered here last year. How do you know about what happened 4-5 years ago?

Just curious.

If you read the thread, a few people mention 2007.

2007 is really that long ago? Time flies like an SR-71 I suppose.

To still be moaning about the moderators on a internet forum for at least 4 years, yes, that's a long time.

Yeah, I suppose the denizens of ZOMG Aspies and Intensity Squared ought to hold the Guinness World Record for longest time bemoaning about WP moderators and members.

5 years ago actually, almost to the day. But no more shall be said! As people would probably STILL get banned for talking about it.

Assuming the moderators will hold off on the banning, I have a question: five years since what?

Five years ago was presumably when Intensity Squared was founded. I know zOMG Aspies was not founded until 2007.

I like Quatermass a lot more now, with his new picture and stuff. I first saw the Shining when I was six, sure it did some damage :)

I recently read the book all the way through for the first time, and was impressed, though I was less impressed with the Kubrick film. It was good, but it wasn't anywhere near the level of the book.

My previous avatar was Miles Vorkosigan from the Vorkosigan Saga. He was a good character to have as an avatar (he is basically a 4 foot 9 m***et military genius with a wonderful gift for improvisation), I just wanted a change.

Was I on the site 4 years ago? Like posting and active? I really don't think so.
Yes.

Yes.

Are you making any sense....ahhh..now here is a question we can answer categorically.
You're not really making any sense.

I don't see how you cannot just let it go about the WP moderators? You're at least a 45 year old man with children, and you've been moaning about the moderators on a internet forum on i2 and here for a few years, from what I understand. I would have thought, an middle aged man with children would have better things to do with his time after all these years, than writing short whiny essays about WP moderators.

You should ask Soph for some pointers on how to post on WP and not seem like a big moaning baby.

I can only take your subjective opinion as what qualifies as a whine and I think what you actually think or understand is very much anyone's guess.
I am at least a 45 year old man? When did this happen? Not for a long time yet.
No my friend you are making little sense and whilst that is not in any way a bad thing, I think that injecting a little sense and rationality into the discourse would be more constructive.

That kind of personal scolding would better fit a PM, Al.

I should get round to reading the book someday. A few of the films I love, people have said the book is a lot better. I think when Jack Nicholson said "here's Jonny" in the film, it wasn't even in the script.

Thats cool. I hadn't heard of him before.
