just what is so wrong with progressivism?

Progressivism = pay more tax + give up my guns + sell my petrol fueled vehicle + tighten my belt to to pay for ecofriendly policies + forced to take a vaccine + now I gotta live next door to BLM and refugees who are competing with me for jobs and who are dating my daughter who is brainwashed by CRT from school

that about sums up progressivism for a republican

Here is what is actually wrong with "progressivism": the belive in big government sugarcoated with a set of over simplistic moral signaling mantras. Supports of an overexpanded state which interferes with the economy (through the imposition of taxes, regulation, printing of fiat currency, government inefficient spending, insider trading etc) to the point it becomes stagnant, then blame capitaism for it. Seeking to expand the base of it's supporters by handing out money and services to them, by taxing others. Supports imposition of said set of overly simplified moral signaling mantras on everybody, through use of government policies. Vilifies those who are not progressives, tagging them with monikers such as racists, homophobes, misogynists, transphobes, gun nuts etc, as opposed to themselves who are perfect angelic beings, incapable of any moral fault. Is there anything on earth more entitled than a progressive?

I see some good things, such as pushing for universal health care, but there are things I don't agree with either.

The problem here is "Hyperpartisanship".
With its "Confirmation Bias" where people misrepresent a person's position.

I am being accused of being an "agent" for the Murdoch Media industry, which is self-evident nonsense.

I am not into political debates.
I'd prefer "Discussions" and sharing of ideas.

And you think that all non-progressives think this way?
"Interesting." 8)

You forgot "Fascists".
That term was thrown around with "gay abandon" before the last Presidential election.

A main problem I have with progressive philosophy is its collectivist mentality.
A main problem I have with the conservative philosophy is its inherent greed.

Some people are biased towards the truth, I am biased towards lies. Everything I believe is completely wrong, and if you can’t see that, then maybe you need to practice being as balanced and objective as I am 8)

I think you meant "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion"?

I think we need to seize the moment and insist that DEI include disability. We need more accommodation of people with various disabilities including autistic people.
