how many think not being PC is racist/sexist?
I really wonder why Barack Obama isn't being openly criticized in the press for the positions expressed on the web page of his church which declares itself openly Pro Africa first and foremost. I believe it is because it is politically incorrect to criticize any thing about black culture these days.

Oh, he is being criticized. By mental giants like Rush and Hannity.

Funny how Conservative-Americans like to attack the practice of hyphenating two identities together. That's right... Conservative-Americans! Not sure where their primary loyalty is.
He should focus the same attention on those schemers known as the Greek Orthodox church - are they Christians or Americans? A church or a separatist cult? Do they worship all things Hellenic?
And now in a somewhat lighter vein, three favorite words that actually are politically correct but may get you in trouble with those who don't have a large enough vocabulary to recognize these words.
FARD
–noun
1. facial cosmetics.
–verb
2. to apply cosmetics to (the face).
Example:
When I went to pick up my date, she wasn't ready to go because she spent so much time just farding.
NIGGARDLY
- adjective
1. Grudging and petty in giving or spending. See synonyms at STINGY.
2. Meanly small; scanty or meager
[Middle English nigard, perhaps from nig, stingy person, of Scandinavian origin.]
Example:
I like Barak Obama because he is not like my African-American boss. My boss just seems so niggardly.
(see story at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/local/longterm/williams/williams020499.htm)
FUG
-noun
A heavy, stale atmosphere, especially the musty air of an overcrowded or poorly ventilated room:
-verb
To cause the air to become stale or foul
Example:
Put that cigar out! You are fugging the environment!
Use these words at your own risk

Born here, American.
Immigrated here, [Country-of-Origin]-Americans.
What about Irish Americans? Do you feel Irish Americans have no right to call themselves that, even though 99.9% have never been to Ireland and probably could not point it out on a map, drunk or sober?
They're White, you know? Something to think about.

Obama is bi-racial. People only acknowledge one side of him, but the truth is that his mother is White and father is Black (from Africa). What I admire about the man is that he's not running on a "Black" platform, but on an American platform. He made it clear upfront that he will not race bait or play that card and that his positions represent all Americans. Even a Conservative dude like me has to admire that.
Some will vote for him because he's Black the same way the Clintons are banking on voters pulling for her because she's White.
I'd say more are likely to vote for Hillary because she's a woman, than because she's white. Which is just as rediculous really. I mean it's not like their race or gender would effect what type of leadership ability they'd have.
It needs to be noted that for the most part, or at least an equal part, these labels, (particularly the hyphanated variety like Asian-American and not the pejorative ones like spic or honkey or wop) are labels selected or supported by the minority themselves. I still remember how the term Afro-American used to be the standard (Kind of like Euro-American) until some celebrity of that community angrily protested that Afro was a hair style and he was an African-American!
A group may choose to use such a name for itself because it is separate to a degree or because it chooses to maintain a separation. The Jews strongly and the Chinese strongly choose to maintain separation because of their own racial/cultural identity, although on an individual level there is much variation. Nevertheless, for the most part, these minorities appear to be comfortably integrated into the American cultural fabric. African-Americans vary widely in the degree to which they want or value maintaining a separate identity. (I object to "Native Americans" because I was born here too, "Aboriginals" is a correct term but some find it pejorative, so if I may, I will use "Amerinds". ) Amerinds vary from total separation to total assimilation. And Hispanics vary from highly separate to fully integrated, but darkness of skin color has a strong influence there. (I know some "Hispanics" from Spain and they are like any other Euro-Americans.)
I doubt we can get rid of these labels because some people wear them with pride. It is just like some Aspies want to keep their diagnosis a secret, but other Aspies want it known. It has become an identity for them and in that identity they find support and they find that it smooths their relationship with those outside the group because it helps both sides in an exchange accurately adjust their expectations. And there lies a key point! The labels can be helpful when they convey an accurate understanding and are not pejorative, but they are very problematic when they evoke an inaccurate or especially derogatory stereotype (e.g. all blacks are lazy, all Jews are greedy, all honkeys are arrogant, all polacks are stupid, all irish are drunks, all Aspies are geeky nut cases, etc. etc. etc. )
If the records of the American government show evidence of labeling, it is simply reflecting common usage and attitudes of the day. Does anyone doubt that for the hundreds of years of Europeans in North America, predating the American government, that such labels were used? There is no point in blaming the US government for starting this trend. It is millennia old

Hwoever, the government DID propagate division. Have you noticed how much people have gome together since segregation (a law) was banned? While some prejudice is still around on both sides, it is certainly not how it used to be because the law changed and forced us to live differently and thus, get along better and see each other as Americans. If the law were to enforce discrimination, then racism would be more widespread, as it was before.

I totally agree, dude. Can't argue with that.
It describes **part** of who you are. But be weary not to let a label consume you though and think "I have to like this and I have to like that, I have to believe this and I have to believe that". I'm not at all saying that your doing that Merr, definately not accusing you of this because you seem to be very intelligent and open minded, and willing to think for yourself (all things I respect) I'm just saying a lot of other people fall for that trap. And when people get into that frame of mind, they might THINK theyr free, but really theyr not, as their mind has been placed in shackles. And people do this with all types of labels, gender, race, religion, politics....Sure, you black, and you should be very proud of your people. You realise above all though that you are a unique individual, there is only one you in the world. Whites fall for the same traps, we've just sometimes got different sub-categories in culture..... I'm not really every white man, I'm not every aspie, though I can be proud of those parts of me, I will always be me first, for I am the only me in the world.
I don't think terms such as Irish American or African American should be such a huge deal one way or the other, as long as people can see outside of it and see others as equals, and not label themselves completely.
I agree, but what is it in a person when they see someone who calls themself "African American" or "Russian American" and to immediately fele threatened by that? I would hope that these people arent being bogged down by labels...but is it that we dont want people to cling to their own groups at all? I am jsut asking because when I was younger I was really bothered by new school, as the one I had attended previously was very multicultural and I had friends of all cultures/races/religions (seriously I had a Catholic, Scientologist and atheist best friend) etc. Then when I moved, everyone kind of stuck to their own. It really bothered me back then as I did not feel complete without variety in my life. I felt "left out" if I wasnt something else etc... But then I realized that perhaps these people dont see it the same way as I am seeing it? Maybe they arent looking at it as self-segregation?
Yes, whites who dare to notice the group advocacy of blacks, Asians, Jews and hispanics and ask “what if white people did the same?” open themselves up to accusations of racism. Still, simply leaving this supposedly un-PC question hanging in the air not especially brave. What would be braver is for white people to overcome their social conditioning and understand that they have as much right to look after their interests as any other people, and that parroting “colour-blind” propaganda is not the way to do it.
I know I have posted several times on this. Maybe nature of AS makes it difficult to feel an emotional attachment to a people to whom one belongs - I’m not a social animal myself. But understanding the concept intellectually it should not be difficult if (as seems to be the case with so many aspies) you are interested in free thought and resisting the lies of the globalist elite.
It is normal and healthy for people to be loyal to their own ethnic kin, in the same way it is normal and healthy for a man to be loyal to his brother or a mother to her child. It is genetic. This was the normal attitude in the Western world pre-1960, and it is still the normal attitude in the entire Western world. It is only in recent decades, and only among the whites of the Western world that people have been conditioned in significant numbers to think otherwise, and believe in the virtue of being “colour-blind”. White people who hold this belief actually serves the interests of their elites (who despise them) and the interests of the ethnic minority populations among them, who can take advantage of it to increase their numbers unopposed, while (most of them) safe in the knowledge that their own ethnic kin face no demographic threat in their own homelands. A people that has been conditioned to be “colour-blind” while the rest of the world remains true to their natures put themselves at a disadvantage.
“Racism” is a word mostly used to smear Europeans who are loyal to their own kin, and so prevent them from protesting against their dispossession. In reality, it is this – the idea that Europeans should accept their own dispossession and be smeared and harrassed for protesting – that is racist.
“Political correctness” is cultural marxism – a tool for transforming society and destroying the hegemony of whites in their ancestral homelands, and wherever else they might form a majority. When people talk about “PC gone mad” or “PC gone too far” it shows they don’t really understand what PC is. And although fewer and fewer people want to be accused of being PC these days, the only opposition to PC that is allowed in mainstream society is that from within the liberal paradigm.
Within the liberal paradigm, people cannot understand that, for example, the English, the French and the Danes have as much moral right to preserve themselves in their own countries as the Chinese in China or the Indians in India. And if you cannot understand this, then it is more difficult to disagree in principle with the aim of PC. And if you cannot disagree in principle with the aim of PC, then it is more difficult to oppose the means (affirmative action, whiteness studies, diversity training, feminist studies, etc).
Viewed from outside the liberal paradigm, Europeans in their own lands who try to combat PC with talk of “colour-blindness” are just substituting one tool of ethnic minority interests with another.
To Snake – I believe your views lie firmly within the liberal paradigm. You think that because race is not a factor in your life it should not be a factor in anyone’s lives. I don’t want to urge you to make it a factor in your life. But I think that if you continue to enthuse about universal brotherhood in the hope that other races will abandon their ethnocentrism, you will have a long wait.

If anything, I'm careful about "universal brotherhood". The goal of the big boyz is divide, pitt, unite. Once theyr done dividing and pitting people against one another, and people are tired of fighting, they'll use this new age religion global warming "we are the world we are one, lets save the planet" crap as a propaganda tool to get everyone to go along with the RFID chip and global government.
I think honestly what we're facing now, is bigger than our world, is bigger than anything we've faced in history. It's us few who can look at ourselves critically who shall pass the test of time, though we will come under great tribulations. Those few of us could be any color or race.... The answer lies is individualism, the hunger for knowledge, justice, truth, and liberty..... I have no fears, no regrets, I know where I stand.
Many people cannot look beyond their own egos, and for them, things like race may be a factor, but this is because the average person is such a sleepwalker, sheep, whatever, and so limited by their primative nature that they can not develope their minds beyond it.
But it's kinda like....... If your on a cattle ranch, and you were the only cow who somehow was conscious of what was happening, you'd be trying to scream to the other cattle to "wake up"..... You know you won't reach them, but you can not help but try. Even if you could awaken 1 or 2 other cattle out of 500, you know you'd feel that you've accomplished something big. Universal brotherhood would be a great thing, but I distrust the implications behind it, coming from the global elites.
