What cliches, phrases, words, terminology do you hate?

How do you not tolerate something that does not personally affect you?

I dislike the terms masculine and feminine.

I don't understand how anyone would want to be identified as either. It would be like calling yourself a stereotype instead of a person.

Good point. I think that for most people, not tolerating something means disagreeing with it, and then publicly setting about preventing it or indeed, abusing people who are that way inclined. And yes, I suppose I am entitled to see homosexuality as a sin, yet as far as I am aware, I do not.

It just that it sounds so nasal and it is sort of inbetween one and two vowels... MMEEEEAAALLL. Some people really pronounce the two vowels MMEEEE - ALLLLL. Thinking about it, I think its the M that ruins it, SEAL is fine.

LOL! No you don't! You have so many better choices, like breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper... if worst comes to worst, just refer to it as 'that thing where we eat lots of food all put together'! :lol:


When you want to take someone out in the evening you can say "lets go to a restaurant" and you feel great because you haven't said it, and they say it anyway.. MEAL... You can't avoid an evening of food in a restauarant without the dreaded word.

And one of the most annoying parts of it most of the meetings are pointless. Take out the buzz words and you are left with an hour of nothing.

I've always hated the "word" "Preggers" It sounds like it came from the mouth of a 1 year old.

Hyperactive people annoy me too. Even though it has nothing to do withthis thread.

Well, I agree with you about preggers: it sounds stupid, as does (in my opinion) belly. As for hyperactive people, well, all I can do is say I'm sorry!
