One of my theories is that look at psychic ability, there is a great amount that these people have abilities. Never the less most of our reality exists below these abilities, such as ability to see the future/past. You see that the fact that people can do things out of our reality means that our sense of it is infact wrong, maybe intuition is another sense that needs to be added. Also to answer the question about how can there be so much in one mind the thing is, the only point of what there is is what you see. So if someone travels out of having an effect on you then they dont exist.

Although I don't understand what you mean with the last two sentences, I agree with you. Science often denies the existence of intuition, it regards it as a myth. Some people have adduced some scientific "facts" as a prove that reality exists. But exact science has defined itself. Its own principles, established rules have fixed the way it obtains knowledge. Science looks and observes the world through a certain scope, so to speak, and therefore misses things.

Well, intuitions are so often *stupid*.

Wait, how can science prove reality? Science presupposes reality and works within a reality based framework.

The issue is then arguing what science misses, I will admit that the positivism of science could potentially be more fallible than rationalism, but are you going to argue a fallibility towards intuition? Intuition fails so often in comparison to facts that it seems like folly to accept it, at least accept an epistemology that does not *have to* clash with other accepted means of gathering data.

I still get property tax bills. Utopia would never allow it!

Yes, it seems so.

I don't understand what you refer to, but I simply mean that our intuitions point to a number of concepts that have no other thing recommending them and perhaps even suggesting against them. And of course, the existence of counter-intuitive/unintuitive but correct ideas about the world.

well, I was kinda agreeing with you, that intuitions are often unreliable, which I thought that was what you meant.

Well do you deny psychic ability, we had this show called 'the one' in Australia which was like a psychic game show and you realy could not deny some of the stuff on it.

A solid brick wall (or anything else for that matter) is made up of 99.999999(and so on)% of pure nothingness as that is mostly what an atom is made up of (i forget the exact percentage those who have been to school you should know its really long) which would conflict heavily with most peoples definition of what reality is, so therefore reality doesn't exist, but on the other hand if you run into that brick wall head first your still gonna crack your head open. *shrugs*

Nothingness??? No I dont think so. The space between the the nucleus and the elctrons is filled with energy fields. The Electromagnetic forcefields of the nucleus as well as spacetime itself(which actually is an energy field and NOT empty/massless).
Some say that Reality is a shared illusion. But since I havent seen any tangible proof that our minds are interconnected,or at least on a continuous basis, that for examlple the vast majority of us see the sky and the grass as different colors while there might be some colorblind folks who see them as the same. But then when the light spectra of the grass and the sky are measured in a laboratory they are always different wavelengths. So in essence that is a small piece of *Reality*.

the nucleus is made up of neutrons and protons around which electrons orbit. This orbit is relatively far away and all there is in between the nucleus and the orbit is empty space. If the nucleus was the size of a marble, then the orbit of the electron would be the same as the perimeter around a major league baseball stadium.

Waves of energy are not solid, When your head meets the brick wall, the force fields in the atoms of your head come up against the equally strong fields in the atoms of the brick wall. The mutual repulsion of these billions of tiny, but immensely strong, force fields prevents your head from passing through the wall, giving rise to the appearance of solidness and a rather bad headache. however real it may seem, this solidness is only how things appear to us; it is not an intrinsic part of matter.

Something must "exist". If nothing existed, then we wouldn't be talking on an internet forum like this. Reality, as we perceive it, must exist in some form. So far, there has been nothing to suggest that it isn't real. We could wonder if we are somehow just part of a virtual reality, but would we have any control over it? Would it matter if we found out that "reality" didn't "exist" as we thought it did? I'd rather believe that reality exists, than find out that it's been an illusion all along. Kthxbai.
There is absolutely no evidence, direct or indirect, which suggests that our reality is false. That doesn't mean that there is absolutely no chance of reality as we know it being false, but it makes it so damned near impossible, and irrelevant, plus that wouldn't matter if we had no control over it. It would probably be better that humanity didn't find out about being trapped in a virtual reality, probably.

Reality, in some form must exist. And this is the only "reality" we know of. No alternatives except fantasy.

Yeah I know what you said before, I did chemistry in school and I remember compared to the size to all the bits there is relitivly large space in between. Kind of the same I think to the size and distance to the planets around the sun.
