racism, as any other form of xenophobia, is one of my "instant aggro" moments. i dont even want to try to imagine what can lead to hating ppl just for different facial balance/skin color. (and i have seen the prejustice-inducing groups of ppl. like a racial gang. but they are not scumbags because of their race, they are scumbags because they chose to be. and i well know to see that division)

Also I hate gangs too. Regardless if it's white bikers or black street gangs or Mexican cartels they all suck and they ruin communities with drugs and violence. What's worse is the way that music, video games, and TV glamorizes these scumbags!

And another thing, even though I personally get offended whenever a black person says something rude to me or judges me for being white I don't hold it against them too much because I do understand where that prejudice on their behalf comes from. I mean white people have treated them like garbage for hundreds of years. Why should they forgive us and trust us just because we pretend like things are different now? I honestly think we haven't earned forgiveness for the terrible things we have done.

But at the same time the truth is that not all white people are racist and it is pretty unfair to assume that they all are.

But then again life itself is unfair.

as to ppl insulting u for being white - we got this earlier on this thread. u personally didnt oppress anybody. u personally are not responsible for actions of other white ppl earlier along history. this sort of behaviour just a self-indulgence, nothing more. same as, i am born in capital city. which makes ppl in some regions hate me just for the place of birth. while i personally didnt do ANYTHING to them. but they've made up wild BS about ppl from my area and throw it to my face when they can. there is no excuse for that sort of behavior.

Yeah I agree, I'm not trying to defend it. I'm just saying that I get why black people hate us. I mean if it were the other way around and it was white people who were enslaved, lynched, falsely imprisoned, beaten up by cops, not allowed into certain schools or restaurants, had crosses burned on their lawns, killed for having interracial relationships, had their own countries destroyed by colonists and big corporations.... I think maybe you see my point.

no, i dont. know why? because those ppl who insulted u, and u too, are all several generations removed from this. nobody has a personal experience, or even a living family member to tell about it. so they are just using this as an excuse to be mean. nothing more. its not traumatic behavior, its just chosing to be an a**hole to somebody over a formal division.

Actually in my country racism towards black people still goes on to this day. I've seen it for myself. I knew a 19 year old girl who was a friend of my mom's who was pulled over by cops here in Florida and was thrown on the ground and injured her face, all because she was driving a car that looked similar to one that was reported stolen AND she was black.

In restaurants black people are almost always sat in the very back tables away from the front of the restaurant. The KKK and Neo Nazis are still very active in places like Georgia where I'm originally from They still beat up or murder black people and any other minorities to this day.

It's not all in the evil past like everybody wants to pretend. Black people still get treated like s**t, at least where I'm from.

It's "SJW"-type bullcrap----not "liberal" bullcrap.

Most liberals are not idiotic enough to believe that one particular person is responsible for the actions of their ancestors just because they are part of the same ethnic group as that particular person.

Unfortunetly my mom kind of is a SJW. Her college professors have convinced her that only white people are capable of being racist and only men are capable of sexism. It doesn't occur to her that it can work both ways.

Anyways I'm just glad I'm not like that. I'm gay and I see homosexuals bashing heterosexuals all the time. Also as an Aspie myself I really get sick of other people with Aspergers accusing all Neurotypicals of being bad people. I see that quite frequently here on Wrong Planet.

Maybe that's why I should never go to college. I really don't feel like getting brainwashed by a bunch of SJW professors like my mom did.

I wouldn't let the potential for "SJW" professors deter me from college. Many disciplines are not immersed in "SJW" ideology.

I went to a "liberal arts" college. My majors were English and speech pathology. My professors came from all over the political spectrum----though none were really "left" or "right" wing. My speech pathology professors were generally not political at all.

There was a general "liberal" atmosphere within the college---but any professor who proselytized about their politics, or who based marks upon a student's political presentation, were strongly frowned upon in my college.
