Makes me f*****g sick. So many people are opposed to the death penalty, but for crimes like this the punishment should be a life for a life.

Kill people, who kill people, to teach that killing people is wrong.. great idea! (sarcasm)
Was this "pearl of wisdom" an original thought, or "picked up" from the Daily mail?

Crimes like this should be life for a life not because its good but because it would help prevent future crimes that are similar.

Thats my point exactly, I only linked that article because it's the first one I found, I'm not big on the mail either before we start that debate. If we killed these men who did this and that stopped just one man killing another, isn't that a good thing? I don't do god & heaven & hell, I beleive humans have a duty to punish those who do wrong.

There is no sentence that fits this crime other than death. Anyone who's been in a British jail will tell you it's home from home luxury. We let this scum have a playstation, TV, radio, social time and the lot. People even commit crime to go INTO jail here!

I hate the Daily Mail to death, but on the subject matter at hand... Prison is too lenient, a death sentence won't trouble them once they are dead. My ideas of punishment would not be suitable to say, so I'll remain silent on that. All I can say, though, is those people sicken me. It's a damn nasty world out there.

Life imprisonment is always a better punishment than death. Of course when i talk of life-imprisonment, i don't mean the comfortable holiday homes we put criminals in these days. I mean cells with no light, windows, in which people would be nearly 100% sensory deprived. I'm talking about a place where you get fed the most revolting, disgusting food. No toilets, nowhere to wash, no change of clothes, nobody to speak to. Anyone who has a "life" sentence should have forfitted their right to being comfortable.

Anybody who kills a person
with a neurological difference
should be given something
to make the killer have
a neurogical difference!

I believe there are studies that show the death penalty is NOT an effective deterrant.

Especially in a case like this. It wasn't a premeditated murder.

It is really, really sad, this article.

more to the point killing is wrong! if you genuinely want the perpetrators dead, how are you any better than them?

you clearly have not seen a supermax prison, walk into your closet and shut the door, that is your cell with a steel toliet, concrete bed and nothing else, the only human contact is the voice on the other side of the door and once a week you are lead into a area the size of a handicapped stall and allowed 60 mintues of excerise.

I would say that life in gaol would be a good idea, lock em up and weld the cell door shut !

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

So, if Arthur Shawcross had been executed for murdering two children in 1972 instead of serving 15 years of a 25 year sentence he still would have been able to murder all those prostitutes? That is an interesting theory. This is his story. I believe that if Shawcross had been executed for the first two murders then the 11 murders subsequent to his early Parole for being a model prisoner would not have happened.

As much as I think they all deserve the death penalty, it sounds like it wasn't really an autism hate crime. Didn't really seem like they knew he had autism.

Words cannot describe how angry I am after reading that. It's articles like this one that I would derive a great deal of pleasure by personally dismembering those a**holes.

Yes, it is. Earth is overpopulated as it is; we don't need to waste nourishment and oxygen on trash. I'm pro death penalty. If you deliberately set out to do something like that it's all you deserve.

It was a similar case here some years ago. A 32 year old disabled man was attacked. He had been in a traffic accident 15 years prior and only due to will power had he trained himself to walk again. But he walked poorly and had poor balance. 7th January 2005 he was attacked by 3 youth aged 18 and 19. They stole his wallet (worth 20 quids) and kicked and beat him, stomped on him. He is now completely invalid, and will never walk, talk or do anything again on his own. The killers - no, they didn't take his life, but they killed his life just the same - was given the ridiculous punishment of 4 years and 9 months for the leader, 4 years and 6 months for the two others. It's a ****ing joke!
The bastards should be put to sleep, as they deserve!
An eye for an eye is considered in western society as vindictive, but the truth is an eye for an eye is the only form of true justice there is.
