Not really into travelling far distances unless necessary, like going to see family... When I do travel I like to go by bus(greyhound), or at least a large van so I can stretch out and not feel closed in. People give me a hard time and say I should just fly because the bus or car takes so long; NY to Florida anyone? Can't do long road trips in a car..used to but can't anymore; makes me anxious  ... Anyone else like this?
How do you prefer to travel?

By car. Preferably not with me driving, but I'm up for whatever.

I'm leaving on my longest solo shot by far in 2 weeks, about 2200 miles. I'm super fired up.

Plane, preferably first class. Then by foot or by chauffeured car or SUV. That's just what I prefer. The real world is slightly different.

On the waves of the world wide web, to the different yarn sites and stopping at WrongPlanet, for a while.

Car, with me driving. I enjoy blasting up the types of hills with a "Turn air conditioner off" warning at 75 mph. . .with the air conditioner blasting. Just because I can.

I love traveling, especially abroad. So I definitely love airplanes, and the feeling of going to the airport just gives me the most amazing adrenaline rush, a bit of anxiety, but the good kind. Knowing that I'll be getting away from everything and going to have fun/doing something meaningful with my life.

Not at all - if I have to by car. Any public is way too many people I don't know and flying is excruciatingly painful due to pressure sensitivity.

well i do not drive long distances because it is stressful

so I take Greyhound.

i would take Amtrak but it is too expensive, like planes.

but planes fall from the sky sometimes so i don't prefer them anyways.

would prefer flying saucer

By train. Someone else does the driving that way, and you can get up and walk around if you want, maybe go have a drink in the dining car. Plus you get to see all the passing scenery, unlike flying (although looking down at clouds can be nice, too.)

I've been flying on planes since I was a baby and alone since I was just in kindergarten. So obviously, that's what I'm most used to. However, I discovered last year that I absolutely hate going to big airports by myself, especially Dulles! I hate Dulles (or however its spelled)! !!

By car (as a passenger of course because I can't drive) or bus/coach.

My feet, personally.

I don't mind cars (though I'm very picky with who drives, and I don't like going fast, and highways make me nervous), trains are ok (choo-choo), and my all time favourite vehicles, boats and ships I like above all mechanical inventions (aye-aye captain).

No planes, ever.

I second the feet.
I hate long journeys and will not do them, because of anxiety and gastrointestinal problems. Buses are worst (veer down unfamiliar streets, winding route) then trains (more enclosed, faster and go through tunnels) and trams aren't great either. When they stop for passengers or are stationary in traffic, I feel trapped. Cars are ok for short journeys, but walking is best.
The longest I will allow for a journey is about 45 mins into another suburb for a very important doctor's appointment.

:x I really need a teleportation device.
