I am not always in the mood to be touched. Sometimes if I'm tired or had too much stimulation from the world then my desire to be touched decreases. It's like I have a touch thermostat. When my babies were breastfeeding, that was about all the touching I could handle. At the time I thought it was nature's way of providing birth control - which didn't work in my case (kids are 17 months apart) but now I think it was just me being overstimulated by all that skin-to-skin contact. But then I'm very touch-sensitive.

I can very much do without hugs...ick.
It has never, ever crossed my mind to give anyone a hug.
Couple of my freinds have this thing about hugging goodbye. I try to get out of there before the hugs start going around but sometimes I'm not so lucky.

Never really been in a romatic relationship so I can't really coment,
I do like to give and receive massages though.......

I was always a bit free and easy with the cuddles like I had a learning disability because it can also change neurological state like drug and affirm your humanity. Not only that it is a social bonding. My mum doesn't like cuddles too much but cannot understand that I can be so free and easy with hugging. I had learned that in the special needs educational system because then I was with children that have a number of neurological conditions, mostly learning disability like Down syndrome but some of the children at Wakefield Lodge was even allistic but the vast majority had a severe or profound learning disability and I learned to show affection as social accessibility and to replace the invasive eye contact.

It can be depressing when you can't show affection at times and makes me feel like Paddington Bear and everyone else is a cardboard cut out until I can hug someone without it being inappropriate.
