Though im not a big fan of Howard Dean in general, I certainly like his proposal of limiting, if not getting rid of, lobbyists, perhaps the biggest threat to democracy today.

I second that...

The American System would not allow that to happen. What I mean by that is this Government would not know what to do if We did not have any Lobbists at all.

I would bet heavily against ever getting rid of even the majority of their influence, since the lobbyists were the ones who provided support to form the first ancient monarchies in the cradle of civilization.
